The most unofficial Bobcat gameday thread - Eastern Washington

It's time to play on the headache (I mean inferno) turf, possibly one last time. Rumor has it EWU's next turf upgrade will see them go back to a traditional green. Either way it's always been a tough place for the Cats to play. This team is different than any Cats team that's ever stepped foot onto the field in Cheney though.

The most prolific and efficient offense in the FCS rolls into town to take on one of the 10 worst defenses in FCS. It would seem we will see more of the same from the Cats offense today, so the main question is, will we punt? We'll also see what sort of usage Julius Davis gets in his return to the field.

EWU's offense is solid as usual, but over the last few years they've started running the ball better. Altahir is a good RB, and QB Jared Taylor runs a lot and with some power. The Cats run D is stout though, so it will be interesting to see how those two units stack up. EWU will probably get some yards and points, but I'd expect the Cats to keep them below their averages in total yards and points. 20-28 points given up by the D wouldn't surprise me, but less than 20 wouldn't either.

Could this be a tight game? Sure, there's always that chance. But it shouldn't be because the Cats are far better than EWU. 2 PM will give us our answers.

Get up for Gameday!
Go Cats Go!

Go Cats!

I predict Julius is going to be fired up to play… *source, his social account is videos of Ray Lewis. I feel terrible for whoever gets a one on one with him.

Very interested to see how coaches decide to split touches between the “juice squad”. Maybe we just run the crap out of it?

EWU lowest scoring game in the last five games was 35 and they won that game. Excited to see how the D handles a surprisingly balanced EWU offense.

Huh? Idaho - 28, Nevada - 16, and 6 games ago 24 against SELA. They've only scored 35 or more 3 times.

Ah you’re right, I was looking at ESPN stats wrong. Oops! Might time to move from the coffee to the beer.

Honestly feel bad for the dude who tries to meet Julius in the hole on his first carry.

It appears that in the last 5 games that the Eagles have scored less then 35 twice.

The forecast is for the rain to stop by noon and I think it's not supposed to be rainy for the game.

It will still be cool and damp. RTDB right at them early and see if they decide they don’t really want to be on the ground all day.

Statistically, MSU will be the best offense and the best defense they’ve played this year. Time to dominate early.

It’s a 3 TV day at our watch party.

Oregon@Michigan (1:30) and Montana@Cal-Poly (3:00) games on the side TVs and MSU on the 85” with sound with Chicago-style pizzas flown in from Chicago. Let’s go!
