I understand Steele watches a lot of football but having Larison above Humphrey or even Gillman is not correct.

Disagree. Not only does Larison have 821 yards rushing, but he has also over 500 yards receiving!

Larison is the best RB in the nation. Should be first team.

It’s actually not a bad list all things considered. Huge undertaking.

I guess its a matter of what I've watched. Larison has about 150 yards less than Humphrey with almost 50 more carries. Humphrey is averaging 7.6 per so with the same number of carries Scottre would have over 1300 yards rushing. I do recognize that being the key cog in the offense is worth something but SH has been a much better RB than Larison this season.

Na, you're only looking at numbers. Larison would probably average 10 YPC behind our OL. He is the best receiving back in the country and is a great pass blocker.

No, I watched Davis vs Idaho, Davis vs EWU last week and the late Cal game week 1. Larison is good but SH is better. He makes guys miss at a higher rate. In fact its Tommy's conference Offensive MVP race to lose but if it wasn't for Tommy Scottre would be the front runner. Larison has benefitted from Davis not putting teams like PSU and the Utah schools away and played much more. Scottre has done way more with a lot less touches.

We can agree to disagree then. I will say it's a lot easier to make a guy miss 5 yards downfield than it is at the LOS or a yard or two downfield.

There’s more to be a running back than just running the ball. Humphrey benefits from having the best OL in the conference, if not the nation. Humphrey benefits from having a QB who is still the main focal point for defenses.

Larison is averaging 168 yards per game. There’s nobody else on his team that can do what he can do. Humphrey is a great back, but Larison is the better overall player and having the better overall year.

You nearly had it but missed. Most of the season, especially since Mercyhearst the teams we've played have run a single high safety and put 8-9 guys in the box daring the Cats to throw or beat the entire team to run the ball. It hasn't worked somewhat to honor Tommy's run ability but mainly because of Scottre's ability to make that extra defender (or 2) miss or he just truck em It's why he keeps running to daylight with huge runs because there isn't anyone there after that defender whiffs. The 5 O linemen can't block the entire other team but SH makes 1 or 2 of the defenders miss all the time and gets huge gash yards. Conversely, Davis has shown a willingness to to throw the football so Larison faces a lot less stacked boxes and he gets used nearly double touches what SH is and has a much lower expected yards per play.

Purely as a runner I’d go with Scottre. Larison gets a lot of help from the fact Davis passes so much.

We do use our backs as receivers just not Scottre. Jones, White and Unterrio take care of that. We did target Scottre once last game and he might get that going too.

I find your lack of homerism disturbing sir!

If you squint you'll find him. Unfortunately there's no spot for kickoff specialist on AA teams though.

Absolutely on Larison being first team, and it’s a decent list. I think Rylan Ortt should be 3rd/4th team but it’s not a glaring oversight.

Great video, my favorite part is Myles Sansted being described as "Brendan's Friend". Kudos to Brendan for sticking it out through his struggles last year and becoming a legit NFL prospect as a punter!

No offense to Scottre or anyone else with this opinion but I think if Larison is out with injury, UC Davis loses more games. If Scottre is out with injury, I think MSU continues rolling. That, to me, makes Larison a more valuable player and therefore higher on the list. But that's just my opinion and how I'd rank them.
