Player shout outs
A couple guys:
-Rohan Jones. Dude has been an absolute beast. Such a huge addition to the team this year, a player that people are probably not talking about enough. 6 receiving TD’s so far!
-Myles Sansted. Has quietly had a pretty solid season. 9 FG made, only 1 missed XP. Nobody is talking about the kicking game this year (which is a good thing).
-Neil Daly……. Wow, I was very impressed with his play against PSU. Looks like another good one! The depth on this team is incredible. Excited to watch this guy play the next couple years (only a soph, correct?).
Go Cats!

Re: Player shout outs
All great shout outs. Rohan has been an absolute weapon, seems to catch everything and blocks well.
Also a shout out to Coon and Henley. Those two are also deadly running. I have a feeling Henley will be a handful, as a true freshman he was not intimidated at all and he definitely keeps those legs moving.

Re: Player shout outs
Daily is huge. Kind of expected the Schmidt and Dowler injuries to be covered but thought the Uluilakepa injury would be problematic. Daily put that to rest at least for now.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 1:13 pmA couple guys:

Is daly even the starter going forward? Or will it be Bryce grebe when he is healthy again?TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:39 pmDaily is huge. Re: Player shout outs
This also blew me away. I thought the only potential weakness on the team would be LB depth. Daily looked like a starter out there for sure.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:39 pmDaily is huge. I think with the way the Oline is playing and the reputation they command, a lot of top tier RB's are going to be interested in playing here.

Rylan Ortt continuing to be an elite safety while also captaining the defense through injuries and, amazingly, the defense continuing to improve as a strength.

Re: Player shout outs
The TEs just missed a huge day. Lonergan had a TD called back. Provience had a TD called back.
Still had 4 catches for 111 yards and TD.

Watching replay now and I can’t say it enough, the offensive line is unbelievable. The blocking by receivers and tight ends is great too.

I think a good lesson from this is that when the backups are all in the game together it isn’t a good way to measure them individually.seataccat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 5:45 pmThis also blew me away. Daily, for example, playing with the starters is a more effective player. That’s probably true across the board.

Re: Player shout outs
Interesting stats. For as many kicks as Sanstead gets he will have a Juniors worth of experience by the time this year ends if things keep going the way they've been going. Lots of XPs in the first half and FGs in the second after the 2s and 3s come in.

Re: Player shout outs
My uneducated guess is it’ll be a 3-man rotation, similar to last season with Askleson, Danny U, and McCade. But McCade getting the most of the reps, being the on-field general, with Grebe and Daily sharing more. But Daily showed out for sure this weekend and probably earned more reps.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:55 pmIs daly even the starter going forward? Daily can play both positions and will rotate in for both assuming Grebe is fully recovered.tdub wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 1:42 pmMy uneducated guess is it’ll be a 3-man rotation, similar to last season with Askleson, Danny U, and McCade. Re: Player shout outs
Daly stuck out to me too watching practice this fall. He is "rangey", Long and fast. As soon as he has enough snaps to eliminate the momentary hesitation before triggering, he's gonna be one of the better linebackers next year.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 1:13 pmA couple guys:
