Daveon Superales
He's not on the roster. Did he never join the team or enroll?

Wow, that didn't take long. Hope he didn't say he was 100% committed. Did he go elsewhere?

No idea. Not the first time its happened in college football. Sometimes kids just aren't ready.RickRund wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 10:18 amWow, that didn't take long. Hope he didn't say he was 100% committed. Did he go elsewhere?

Thanks @VimSince03 ...bummer though. I really like his high school tape...despite his pretty much nonexistent offer sheet.

Not sure how access is there but maybe 13-14 hrs from Bozeman? Maybe after some thought it was too far from home?

Since he was a preferred walk-on and out of state student, it also may have been too expensive to enroll at MSU.

I don’t think most kids have any idea how intense college football is. It is a full time job & as a walk on you are not going to get the reward of playing especially as a freshman. Add in the adjustment to a college lifestyle that is very different from the one they lived as a Senior in high school where everything was gravy, at home & at school, plus the distance from home & I’m surprised more kids don’t quit those first couple of weeks.

I swear, it's like I'm playin' cards with my brother's kids or somethin'. You nerve-wrackin' sons-a-bitches.'

With all due respect if you can’t make it through camp we don’t want you playing for us.rollo_tumasi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:22 pmI don’t think most kids have any idea how intense college football is. When I was a freshman, we had 'freshman camp,' which lasted a week before the rest of the team joined us for practice. We were staying at North Hedges, and in the middle of the night, while everyone was sleeping, one of the guys packed up all his things and left the team. In the morning, we just found an empty dorm room, and I have no idea what he did after that, but he didn’t enroll at MSU. So, I can relate – not everyone is prepared for such a demanding commitment.RickRund wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 10:18 amWow, that didn't take long. Hope he didn't say he was 100% committed. That happens even with the "normal" student population.
I was one of the first Orientation Leaders back in the early 80's. A young man who didn't grow up far from Bozeman couldn't make it through the first night.....he had never slept away from his family before.

I remember a few years ago a tackle from California left under similar circumstances. It was either Hansen with an e or Hanson with an o. That was back when the team was hurting for o-linemen too, there was talk that he might be second string as a freshman.
It happens sometimes.
