Power Rankings Week 6
1. MSU
2. Idaho - I know they lost to Davis but I think Idaho is the better team overall.
3. UC Davis - not exactly an impressive performance against PSU but they made the plays and got the calls they needed to win.
4. Weber - One of three 2-0 teams in conference play.
5. UM - these guys look like the 2014/15 Bobcats teams that had amazing offensive talent and absolutely no defense.
6. NAU - has a great shot to move up this week!
7. Sac
8. ISU
9. EWU
10. Cal Poly
11. PSU
12. UNCU

The griz D is just awful. I would not be surprised if NAU comes in this wkd and beats them again.
It’s about time for griz fans to start putting for sale signs back up in haucks yard.

Re: Power Rankings Week 6
They're looking good on offense for sure, but it's only been three games. Sometimes defensive coordinators figure things out and are able to put a template out there to stop suddenly good offenses. I thought their best game, offensively, was vs. W. Carolina, which has a decent defense, but that was their coming out party for the offense. If they have another big game vs NAU, which has a good defense (held Arizona, which hasn't shown itself to have a good offense, to 22 points; but they were shaky vs UIW) from the looks of it, I'll be on board with UM having a great offense. I'm a little hesitant because they had a good run on offense last year, too, then came back to earth in their last three playoff games.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Hack normally runs the 333 333 55555 defense. This year they are running the European version. The Swiss cheese 3o3 33o 5o555.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 7:37 amThe griz D is just awful. I would not be surprised if NAU comes in this wkd and beats them again.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

They don't seem to have the dudes to send LB pressure and man cover this year. If you don't get there it leaves opportunity. I expected Big game from EWU QB, but the Weber kid impressed me. Quick decisions and delivered the ball. A couple were almost picks, almost incomplete, but ended in long TDscatscat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 8:53 amHack normally runs the 333 333 55555 defense. Talked about the lack of pressure UM is sending this year with my gris fan office mate. he thinks they cant apply pressure because they have to hold back the LB's to help a poor secondary. Every time the blitz the secondary is burned for a long catch and run. He says he is afraid that Tommy may have 400 yards passing against them this year.tetoncat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 11:28 amThey don't seem to have the dudes to send LB pressure and man cover this year. the weber qb had moxie....did you see the very first series where the gris player delivered a late hit and the qb jumped up and got right in his face....I think that was a tone setter for the rest of the game....tetoncat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 11:28 amThey don't seem to have the dudes to send LB pressure and man cover this year. Honestly, I don't think the Griz will be able to slow down the Cat Running game much at all, so Tommy won't need to throw much.cats2506 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 2:29 pmTalked about the lack of pressure UM is sending this year with my gris fan office mate. he thinks they cant apply pressure because they have to hold back the LB's to help a poor secondary.
