Agree. The reporter in this case was obnoxious.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 2:56 pmNot a fan of these sports reporters going out of their way to keep bringing up Zac's high school controversy. Not sure if they're doing it because they want him and Vigen to have to continually defend themselves for something they'll hold against him forever or if their employers are making them pile on, or worse if they're afraid of what some of their brain-dead readers will think of them if they don't bring it up.
There were multiple people that brought it up across the two interviews, maybe all of them, including Colter. To be charitable, maybe they all plan on writing their own articles about a redemptive story (which I feel like some of them have done already) but this is the second or third time since he started playing, not just since he joined the team, that they've done this.Rich K wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:29 pmAgree. Crews no-interview sanction was lifted today by the school/team and he was interviewed by basically the same group. I believe that was before they interviewed Vigen. Vigen seemed prepared for the question.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 3:38 pmThere were multiple people that brought it up across the two interviews, maybe all of them, including Colter. I remember a kid I played football with in High school losing a contact lens during a game. Since it was a grass field, he kicked out a divit near where he thought he lost it and came back when the game was over and actually found the lens. It was a night game too, must have been a one in a million shot locating it.
I thought the answer was spot on. Sure he can say he won't talk about it, but he owned it and made a great response.RICO CAT wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 5:05 pmSounds like Crews is in need of a dental implant, not glue. Maybe there’s an advertisement opportunity there ? I feel he should inform those in the media who bring up his “mistake” that he has already addressed that situation and is not going to discuss it further.

A lot of people even on this board were pretty wary of MSU giving him another chance, so I think it's important for him to address what happened and not just ignore it. I love watching him play, great talent and seems to just make plays.
