My power rankings after this week. I could be swayed on Idaho and the griz.
MSU, UM, UCD, ID, NAU, WEB, SSU, ISU, EWU, PSU, CP, NC

pretty spot on. definitely a separation between 1,2 and the rest at this point. I would say ucd, id and nau are a half step back and they rest a full step back.

I thought the Grix were supposed to have a good defense, but apparently not. Giving up almost fifty points to a "not very good" EWU team?

What they’ve given up on defense they’ve gained in spades on offense. They have the most impressive offense in the Big Sky.

I’d wait to make that claim until they play a good defensive front. I think the qb(s) will make errors with pressure and when defenses can stuff their run it will be very different. Similar to how UND shut them down in the 2nd half

UND has a pretty good defensive front.

Very good. Thats why I think teams like UCD, maybe Weber, NAU, and obviously MSU will give them a real challenge. I mean we just saw was ISU’s qb could do with time.

I'm not smart enough to claim if their offense is the most impressive or not. But i think Fife is the real deal, watched him play a game with Fresno last year and I was impressed. If they can get over the nostalgia of Ah Yat, Fife will win them a ton of games.

Stats are often fun and helpful:
https://bigskyconf.com/stats.aspx?path= ... &year=2024
EWU, for example, gives up 38.5 points and 495 yards per game.

Against one of the worst defenses in the BSC, I agree. EWU defense was absolutely atrocious last night.
Don't disagree with your order, but I think there is a sizable distance between #1 and the rest of the conference.

I’m not here to defend the griz, but they probably have the best skill players, and one heck of a rushing attack so far. Their qb play has been solid too.

Agree. Gilman and Bergman are really really good. Receivers are very athletic but haven't always made the play. QB play is better than I expected. Not convinced their OLine can stand up to the better defenses in the conference.
Gris defense is really mediocre.

No they don’t. They can’t put anyone away so their starters stay in and rack up offense. The one game they did run away with they left the starters in until the fourth quarter. They haven’t played a good defense all year. No, UND doesn’t have a good defense.
