A lot of NFL teams have been visiting practice, with 5 visiting today (according to the MSU recruiting Twitter account). Is this normal? Or is this year higher than normal because of Wehr/Grebe/Hall, and other seniors with pro potential? I'm guessing the later.

It does happen every year. Having 2+ guys who could be league will make it happen a little more. Hardy and McCutcheon got their opportunity in no small part to the fact there was a 2nd round talent getting scouted all that season. A typical pro-day might have 6-10 team reps present and there was something like 29 teams for the '21 year.

I wonder how many of these scouts are skipping a convenient visit to another university just 3 hours away.

Don’t forget Bobby and Monte, for obvious reasons, they are the best.

MSU publicizing the visits on social media is also a recruiting tool. The MSU recruiting twitter account is putting out the posts.

I was going to say, with kickoff returns coming back into the game more with the new rules they'll definitely be interested in Bergen and rightfully so.
