Quickly took a look at 247 recruiting info and looked at Washington’s top recruits and see that Xavier Ahrens is supposedly committed to the ‘Cats. He’s a big WR/Safety @ 6’3” 200+lbs. maybe he’s the boom.

That’s wild. I never use 247 for FCS recruiting, so maybe they do this more often, but I’ve never seen them make predictions for FCS recruits. Huffman is a fairly big name at 247 though.


Fwiw, he recently predicted Ahrens and Parker Mady, a WR recruit out of Washington. I really can’t imagine he’d make the predictions if he didn’t know something…otherwise there’s not much in it for him. They like to keep the prediction percentage high.

If you go on the recruiting thread, you'll see Xaviers name in bold font. Names in bold font are my predictions for guys that are currently more likely to commit to the Cats than the others.

I believe this may have been a catch up boom. There are currently 13 known commits and Vigen has boomed 13 times this recruiting season.

Xavier Ahrens committed and another reporter said that he heard Parker Mady has as well.

Mady reposted Ahrens commitment, but hasn't posted any commitment himself.

Ahrens' hudl highlights on defense are fun to watch. He has a real nose for the ball, closes quickly, and and tackles hard.
