Probably won't be much media this week...Vigen wants to give the players the week off from media responsibilities and the coaches will be out recruiting.
Anybody besides me surprised there were no questions about the back up quarterbacks?

Listened to both pressers. I see Bobby "i can be a churlish jerk to people just doing their jobs" Hauck made an appearance. The fact that an administration and fanbase allows a very highly paid state employee to act that way over and over again is beyond me. Your question was reasonable and a simple "yeah when you go three and out a bunch it's hard to get everyone touches" answer would have sufficed.

Got more info from Vigen on how 2s and 3s had errors and need to improve than Hauck on their issues.

Vigen talked pretty openly about the back up QBs on Saturday night:
I think Chance (Wilson) made a few plays,” Vigen said. “That’s my first assessment. Would’ve liked for him to keep that ball and get the first down instead of throwing it downfield. I think he had the first down, but that’s his first game action.
“Jordan (Reed), we didn’t get going too well with him. To get them both out there is very valuable. That backup spot, for us … continuing to sort that out is unfortunately an ongoing process.”

Well I sure hope Jordan goes back to work, keeps a positive attitude, and does everything he can to get better. I have absolutely seen flashes from him doing certain things, but not consistently. It seems like he really hasn't had a lot of good chances to showcase his strengths yet, and the few chances he has had haven't worked out. Some of those chances were thwarted by players besides him though. I have a feeling he'll get a lot more chances in some of the next few games on the schedule.

I have a friend whose son attended UM and was a sports reporter with the UM newspaper. Hauck would not even allow
him to ask a question because he thought it was critical. What a joke and embarrassment to UM.

little bit surprised
The first look at QB3 I thought was impressive
Vigens comments right after the game were enlightening. I just thought that by Monday a reporter would’ve said now that you’ve watched the film do you have any further thoughts on your quarterbacks. Quarterbacks and backup quarterbacks in particular, always seem like good stories to write about.

Lol, maybe Vigen should have acted this way! Sorry if this is hijacking the thread, but I just saw this again the other day when my buddy asked me in which press conference Bobby acted like more of a baby in, UND this year or NAU last hear. Start at the 1:50 mark... it's friggin hilarious.
Colter Nuanez is joined by Coach Ty Gregorak to talk all things Pac 12 realignment (1:30) plus Montana State's "Gold Rush" blowout and if the sky is falling in Missoula.
Hear from Brooks Nuanez (39:17) on what makes Montana State nearly impossible to stop in the run game and what exactly are Montana's concerns currently.
Plus, Andrew Houghton (1:03:00) helps take us around the Big Sky Conference with quick thoughts about pretenders & contenders through Week 2.

Thanks for the content Colter! Especially during the bye week.

Yes, agree, thanks! I especially love how TG speaks the truth. He commented on how the UM Bubble looks cute, but does not even compare to what we're putting in at MSU. Feels like we're beating them in a LOT of areas. However, he then talks about how much progress we've made and how amazing\electric Gold Rush was, and where our stadium is, etc. - but still said UM has the edge there in terms of that stadium. I agree 100%.
