Humphrey-Jones Duo and the Rushing Attack

The MSU rushing attack just continues to somehow get better every season.... Even with a handful of backup OL still playing... its pretty unbelievable. That first half they had like 240 yards rushing at a clip of 18 yards per rush..... hahahaha. sounds like a video game.

The Duo of Scottre Humphrey and Adam Jones is so much fun to watch, and such a lethal duo! What is so crazy though, is that the presumed #1 option (julius davis) is not even playing yet...

Anyone know what the injury status is with Davis? how long will he be out? And whenever Davis does come back.... how the heck do you start him over these two guys at this point???? The RB depth is unreal.

Go Cats. \:D/

Again I really think Davis is our short yardage back but also don't sleep on his vision between the tackles. It's a wealth of talent.

I'm hearing late October on Davis and Perkins for what its worth.

Perk still has his redshirt available correct? If he really is late October he could play the last 4 games and playoffs and play next season right?

Doesn’t Julius still have a redshirt too?

Call me crazy but breaking in a new QB while having an experienced Center to call out protections would be ……. “really nice”

I thought Perkins used his redshirt in 2019. Would be great if he was granted another year though.

What’s the word on Elliot? If healthy, we need to get him into the game at some point in some way.

He's not in a boot or anything, but had a pretty noticeable limp yesterday.

Top 3 in BSC ypc (20+ carries):
Humphrey 43-351 8.2
Jones 34-296 8.7
Mellott 21-174 8.3

And…
White 25-148 5.9

Haven’t been able to fact, check it, but I was told yesterday Elliot’s injury was at least 12 weeks. I don’t know when that start date was though.

Not sure we need a slacker like White. Only averaging 5.9    WOW, a wealth of talent.

Both Humphrey and Jones are doing great, but seriously, I've never seen two running backs not get touched on so many long runs...like not touched at all. I suppose we will eventually run into a defense who knows how to defend which will mean needing Davis' physical presence in between the tackles. Putting Wehr back in at guard was genius. I think we should keep him there.

He was on crutches yesterday so he didn't look remotely close to coming back. Even if he were technically available slightly earlier, I think if we could get an injury redshirt out of him at the expense of him missing an extra regular season game or two this year, it would be a no-brainer.

He would definitely be an anchor on the line next year.

Playing in Week Zero Augments the numbers a bit. That being said - and without looking at ANY other BSC RB yardage totals thru week 2 - i would expect Jones and Humphrey to still be in the top 5 after next week's BSC games are in the books

Emphasis here was Yards Per Carry so they have done it thru 3 games vs others 2. That is even more impressive.
