National Anthem….

Post by bobcatskier » Sun Sep 08, 2024 12:14 pm

As usual, the Saturday game day experience was lights out…..and the singing of the national anthem was a killer!

The singer sang it straight up and knocked it out of the park. Hearing the student section join in the singing was truly moving …..and of, course the flyby was awesome……’cause as we all know there ain’t no such thing as a “bad” flyby.

Kudos to all involved! As an old military guy and an adopted Bobcat…..the whole experience just might have created some wet eyes of intense pride…..

Thank you!

They announced her as Little Louie or something like that.

Wish we could do more flyovers. I understand the cost associated and how it just does not make sense, but they are awesome!

Entire student section joining in on the national anthem gave me chills.

Laney Lou by chance, as in Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs? Excellent band.

It was a different person. Unfortunately, Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs are no longer together.

Funny, I was stocking my suite Friday afternoon and they were doing sound check stuff and I got to hear her anthem a few times. Made a comment to my buddy who was helping me how great she sounded. She did amazing. =D^

When you bring up stocking your suite we all make the assumption you're inviting us all into that suite the next game.....right? Lol

Who is she? I looked her up and I didn't see any ties to MSU?

One of the great things about how she sang was that one could sing along. Many of us in our section have been singing for some time - Wayne made us. Since few of us are singers, it's very apparent when whomever sings the NA is not sing along friendly. Saturday we sounded pretty good.😁

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.
