Saw an article tonight that McCutcheon signed with the Steelers practice squad.

He's listed on their online roster.
It looks like he was assigned #82, which is without a doubt the best number to wear if you're a Steelers WR.

Stallworth? You could argue 88 might be better but I was a Bengal fan. Congratulations to Lance.

Yancy Thigpen
Antwaan Randle-El
Bobby Shaw
Hopefully Lance McCutcheon
88 has Lynn Swann, Emmanuel Sanders, and that's it. 84 has Antonio Brown, Buddy Dial, and that's it. 86 has Hines Ward and that's it.

Lance keeps working. Hopefully he can get on a roster again full-time.

I mean, that’s the roster to do it if there ever is going to be one for Lance. Robert Woods is 33 years old, probably the #2 WR on that list, and I didn’t know he was still in the NFL.
That Txitter post from Schefter wasn’t meant as a compliment for the Steelers WR room.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings
What a ride

If anyone is curious about how much McCutcheon has made in the NFL to this point....
https://overthecap.com/player/lance-mccutcheon/10710
If this website is right, he's made $955,000 to date and is signed with the Steelers on a 1 year $960,000 contract for this year. He still has to make the team to earn that but he's doing well for himself. I also believe that if he stays in the NFL for 3 years he's fully vested in their retirement program? That would require a little more research.
Daniel Hardy has made $1,788,704 and is playing this year on a 1 yr $1,030,000 contract according to available information.

I don’t believe practice squad time counts towards that retirement. They have to be on an active roster for at least four games (I think) a season to count for a single year towards their pension program. McCutcheon has at least one year on the active roster, his first in LA, but I believe he has been on practice squads his other years, but I’m not positive. Okada and Hardy each have two seasons towards the pension plan. Hardy may have three, I’m not sure if he was on the active roster at all his first year in Chicago.
I haven’t looked at this stuff in a while, but the NFL had a very generous 401K type plan too.
