I’ve done this in the past with Sagarin, but Massey seems to be the slightly better, more accepted metric.

As always, take it with a grain of salt, doesn’t mean much of anything, especially early in the season, I just think it’s something fun and interesting to watch throughout the season. I’ll keep track of Cats opponents and the rest of the Big Sky.

Then during BSC they lose to Weber and Davis and come into the brawl as a bubble team fighting for their playoffs lives and the Cats run em out of the building. They get the holidays to be close to their families because I'm nice like that.

I agree with this. And I think there is a chance of it happening. Even if it isnt likely. Ol' HuakTuah has had one decent season and one good season since he returned. We shall see.

Mine does too, but not only because of that. I'm pulling against any teams that try to build mostly through the transfer portal and not by developing high school players. This has nothing to do with being an MSU fan...it's just the impression I'm getting about UM that they're going the get-rich-quick route and I hope that doesn't pay off. Additionally, I don't like the gris and I hope they lose every game while all their MT kids have great individual seasons.

With almost no games to incorporate into the formula, Massey is relying heavily on last year as the start for this year. NoCo didn't win a game last year, UTU won 2, including against a common opponent in NAU. They also had 2 other common opponents. UTU lost vs Montana by 30 (43-13) while UNC lost in Missoula by 40, including being shut out in the process. Both teams also played @ ACU, with UTU losing by 17, NoCo by 20. This is why UTU is rated higher by the computer model. I think we'll see that hold true as the season plays out. UTU played some very challenging schedules in it's 1st three years as FCS, which I think will pay dividends. The Bears are a dumpster fire. I'm actually curious how it determined Poly was that much lower than UNC coming off a season with 2 wins (Lincoln doesn't count), including the H2H over UNC.
