I’m not sure that there was a more consequential play in the game than the Adam Jones 93yard TD run in the 4th to get us within 3. He ended up with 160 on the ground and the team ran for 362 against an FBS team. So, I’d give a game ball and play of the game to Adam! Well done…
As impressive as that was, the first down catch on the last drive was awesome. Jones picked up a blitzing LB, got knocked down, looked at Tommy, got up, got open, and made the catch.
That kid is a winner.

2 missed field goals and 2 dropped passes on 3rd down

You can't bring those up and act like those are the only reasons we won, or the biggest plays of the game because you can also say 2 defensive TDs for why we shouldn't have won.

Cole Sain gets a game ball. McCade made some big plays. Tommy on that final drive was incredibly encouraging. But Adam going yard was the play of the game no doubt.

The hole was massive and the LB took a bad angle but if Jones got caught and Cats had to run more plays to get that TD they wouldn’t have had enough time for the game winner. The Jones play is the answer.

Ty's catch at the 3 yrd line while getting mugged was huge.

There is no answer other than this. If MSU had to drive down the field they'd never have had the time left for the last defensive stop and drive, and it would've been an onside kick and pray situation to get the ball back.

I think Adam Jones's 93-yard scamper is definitely the play of the game. I also think we need to give a huge shout-out to our substitute placekicker, Myles Sansted - 5 for 5 on XPs and they were almost an afterthought.

So, are we going to give Adam Jones the nickname "Pacman" or not?

Absolutely not. He was a punk.

What I was most impressed with from this game was the complete absence of any procedure penalties on a reshuffled and honestly somewhat makeshift offensive line. HUGE kudos to the Donjoy Mafia. I don't think I've ever seen that from an MSU team in my 25+ years of watching/listening. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Conner Moore did have one false start on the first second half possession, but overall they did a great job for having two tackles making their first starts and the other three guys playing new positions.

Hmm, must have missed that play. I didn't get back to the game until a couple minutes had gone by in the 3rd.

I’ll give a nod to the rule changes giving the Cats essentially an extra timeout. Without it they probably run out of time.

Didn't we finish with 1 timeout left. We had one play to score the td and could have used the to.

It didn't matter in this game since the two minute time out came after a punt when the clock stops anyway. Vigen did manage the clock well by taking the time out with 2:15 left.

Jones was biggest play. Needed quick score and a stop. Humphreys is really good but doesn't have speed to make that play. The 2 3rd down drops and last missed fg were big as well. And that catch at the 2.
