Re: Boom! 6-17-24
Everyone’s afraid to speculate after the last one.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Boom! 6-17-24
Honestly I thought it was just a new post about the same boom.
Somebody better start speculating. Schneider looks like a great get, if that's what happens when we speculate, then I say the more speculation the better!

Nope, just less intel to go off of. I do have my own suspicions though, but it would just be a guess right now.

Vaughn Wirkus, but he is being pursued by the gris as well. It's just a guess though. Wirkus was in Bozeman this past weekend and he knows Schneider. There may be someone else offered that we don't know about too. I can eliminate quite a few of the other MSU recruits by just looking at their other offers, many were at other camps this past weekend, and some are writing about upcoming visits to other schools and to camps they still want to attend.
I also don't know these Montana recruits as well as Vim does, so Wirkus may have a connection to um that I don't know about.

I'm also very late on posting the 2025 Montana recruits list so apologies to everyone. Vaughn would be yet another solid in-state OL prospect which is an area we have completely cleaned up over the past decade in Montana.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 12:39 pmVaughn Wirkus, but he is being pursued by the gris as well. Oh, there is also some kid whose Dad is on the football staff that may have committed as well. He visited this past weekend too.

Re: Boom! 6-17-24
Does he or did Choate use a scholarship on his son? I thought that the coach gets a tuition break on his family going to classes at MSU and wouldn't the money be better spent recruiting another player.

I seem to remember Jory being a walk-on until he was awarded a scholarship his last year (under Vigen). I assume the Vigen boys will also officially be walk-ons.Montanabob wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 1:12 pmDoes he or did Choate use a scholarship on his son? Everyone got all their lack of restraint out of the way on the first one? Maybe?

Employees of MUS employees get a 50% waiver of instate tuition. Which works out to be about $3,000 or so.Montanabob wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 1:12 pmDoes he or did Choate use a scholarship on his son? 6-3, 240 TE from Sumner, Wash. 247 3-star. 4A SPSL first team TE. Expected to play both ways in 2025. Sports Illustrated Honorable Mention all-state TE (Washington only has first team and HM only two HM TEs).
“One in particular (Summer head coach) Ross is raving about is junior tight end Carter Cocke, who comes in at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds. The Spartans have not incorporated a tight end much in the passing game over the years but this year may be different.
“He hasn’t played a down yet and he’s already the best tight end we’ve ever had,” Ross said. “If he doesn’t lead our team in pass receptions, somethings wrong.”
Cocke’s father Mike was a successful high school basketball coach in Tacoma for years and helped Foss to the state 2A title in 2017” — Sumner News Index 2023 preseason story on Sumner.

I was just in Sumner this past week. I'm not saying you guys can thank me for getting Carter to commit by wearing Cat gear all over town, but I'm not NOT saying that either...TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 2:41 pm6-3, 240 TE from Sumner, Wash. 247 3-star. 4A SPSL first team TE.
