Anaya in Portal

I thought this might happen. I saw Vigen started following a transfer WR the other day and I figured the Cats would lose at least one of their own to the portal.
Yes, same rule book that requires players to be both "blessed" and "honored" to announce when they receive a scholarship offer.coloradocat wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 4:45 pmIs it a requirement when you enter the portal to use the words "with that being said"?
"Go be great" is a required response to a portal or commitment post as well. I've noticed that "Get the bag" has fallen out of favor a bit though.MSU01 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 5:01 pmYes, same rule book that requires players to be both "blessed" and "honored" to announce when they receive a scholarship offer.coloradocat wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 4:45 pmIs it a requirement when you enter the portal to use the words "with that being said"?
The “always a (insert team name here)” is so , especially for dudes who spent 3 semesters at their schools. Not talking Anaya, just in general. The enabler culture on the internet is spectacular.
100%. Will be even more disgusting when dudes are at a place for spring ball and jump back in the portal. Very intellectually dishonest. Cuts both ways though. Fans should not act so hurt when guys go portaling, and players shouldn't fake bro-hug the school they just left. This is the world now, everyone knows the score.Colter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:52 amThe “always a (insert team name here)” is so , especially for dudes who spent 3 semesters at their schools. I get what you're saying. But at the same time you could conceivably have someone that really loves the experience they had but they don't have a future playing on that team. Most likely, no. But I could see...Colter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:52 amThe “always a (insert team name here)” is so , especially for dudes who spent 3 semesters at their schools. Your scenario probably happens more times than people think.lutecat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:27 pmI get what you're saying. The recent Cats teams seem to have built a really strong culture, including the coaches (even the ones some fans don't like). Guys entering the portal pretty much always are leaving for FBS opportunities or a chance to see the field at a lower level (even it that's within the FCS), not because they are trying to leave the Bobcats.ND0479 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:59 pmYour scenario probably happens more times than people think.lutecat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:27 pmI get what you're saying. Perhaps, but I'm not so sure about that. The other factor here (Vigen talked about this) is that the bigger programs are changing their recruiting approaches as well and cherry picking the FCS standouts that have already spent a few years developing and proving how good they are... rather than bringing in the high stars and having to spend a year or two developing, depending on the position. I'd think that plays more with linemen but it comes into play across all positions IMO.ThoughtUKnew14 wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 3:20 pmSaw this coming. WR room has seen the most transfers since the portal. Super talented kid that I hate to see move on. I feel the days of bringing a legit 3 star WR out of HS to bozeman is behind us. We will keep using the portal and bring kids in that are on 2nd and 3rd chance. It works for our offense, so why not.
They were 0-11 last year but have moved to the OVC.BLACKnBLUEnGOLD wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 6:44 amI'd guess he wants to see the ball this year. WIU threw the ball 100 more times than MSU last season and their top 3 receivers were all seniors.
All three suck to get to. But when you get to Macomb. You wonder why someone didn't flush the place, before you got there.
