One of the top recruits in MT. Go cats!
I know nothing about in state players. What position will he play in college, or is that an unknown?MTCowpoke22 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:23 amThat's interesting. I always figured he was going to playing basketball in college. He's going to have to put some weight on cause he's a bean pole.
He's slotted to play safety in college. 247 2-star. Plays QB at Froid/Med.Lake. Very athletic guy, so I would keep that open. Excellent hoop player and he took fourth at the Class C track meet in the 100 and 200.JoeCatsJoe wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:26 amI know nothing about in state players. Very cool. I believe MSU had a hoop player (or two?) from that team. Weeks brothers.WolfPtCat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:14 amFun fact: Mason will become the 2nd grandson from the 1968 State Basketball (Big 32) championship team from Wolf Point on Bobcat Football team.
Mason's grandfather was Steve Dethman
Trey Pickering's grandfather is Lynn Ahrens (inducted into MT Pro Football Hall of Fame this spring)
Correct. Willie Weeks. I believe he held the MSU and Big Sky freshman b-ball scoring records for a while.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 1:44 pmVery cool. Yeah, it always makes me think it's a de-commit.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 8:39 pmOh man when I see these type of threads come back around I don’t get good vibes. You got on this one.
Unfortunately, I can’t change the title of a thread unless I started the thread. I probably should have put a note above the link to ease any anxiety though.Cledus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:02 amYeah, it always makes me think it's a de-commit.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 8:39 pmOh man when I see these type of threads come back around I don’t get good vibes. I just saw his sister, Sydney, went for 21points and 10 rebounds last night against Arizona State. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:03 amHe's slotted to play safety in college. 247 2-star. Plays QB at Froid/Med.Lake. His family is incredibly athletic. Sister plays hoops for Fresno State. Mom is in MCCC HOF for hoops and went on to start as a junior for the Oklahoma Sooners. Dad was on the OU track team.
You mean where Mason will end up position wise? I thought he was slated as LB but I'm guessing that could change, which is probably what you're referring to.wbtfg wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 2:03 pmI just saw his sister, Sydney, went for 21points and 10 rebounds last night against Arizona State. Yes, sorry. I wonder what position he'll end up playing. Playing 6-man ball, I'd imagine he's super raw and could play a number of positions depending on how he grows and develops. I could see him as a LB, DE, or TE depending on how he develops.catatac wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 3:35 pmYou mean where Mason will end up position wise?
