If Russell can get over himself and put in the work they could easily be a contender. Alex and the Bronco D played pretty well last year they just had no offense to speak of.

If Rus could get over himself, he'd still be winning super bowls in Seattle.

Broncos actually have a competent coach this year is the main thing

Sean Payton is a real NFL coach, unlike Nathaniel "Can't" Hackett.

Well deserved. He has been a stud.
I’m a Raider fan since 1980 who grew up hating the Donkeys in Billings because that’s who we got on TV every Sunday afternoon with Charlie Jones announcing but I hope Denver goes 15-0 in their two weeks they don’t play LV. Well deserved, Alex! Glad they gave him a chance to excel.

Big game for Singleton. 12 tackles including 4th and 1 stop that leads to game winning FG.

I used to cheer for Denver long long ago and they choked in the big games, Then along came Horse Face and they were improving, but until the point where Horse Face got old and a bit tired did he learn that when the receiver was 3 feet away he didn't need to throw his 100 mph fast ball and he actually developed a pass with some touch on it and they won a super bowl. I haven't like them until they signed Alex. As a Montanan I cheer for Players and the teams that the Player is on.

Alex had 16 tackles tonight, 11 solo, and looked aggressive as hell doing it in a close win.

He now has the 2nd most and 4th most tackles in one game in NFL history.

It’s 2nd and 9th per Pro Football Reference. Only Derrick Brooks (19,16), Patrick Willis (17,17) and Donnie Edwards (17,16) are in the top ten twice. Pretty good company. 12 players tied for 9th.

Yes - by 4th most I mean :
20 - Most - 1 player
19 - 2nd most 2 players
17 - 3rd most, multiple players
16 - 4th most, multiple players

pretty good company looking at the all players on that list. Alex was a complete beast last night

Did they say during the broadcast that he leads the NFL in missed tackles or that he is one of the best at NOT missing tackles? I couldn't quite hear it.

Singleton gets dinged for missing tackles (and he does) and he's not a dynamic playmaker, but what he absolutely excels at is knowing where the play is going and how to be around the ball. I think PFF and other advanced rating systems underrate him because they don't sufficiently value the fact that he is always putting himself in position to make a play and he is rarely out of the play.

He's not as good as his raw tackling numbers suggest (top 5 in the league in tackles per game and 6th in solo tackles per game) but he's better than his "advanced stats" would indicate and is a very solid starting linebacker in the league

I doubt Singleton leads the league in missed tackles. He has 7. He's not even alone in leading the Broncos (and the other guy has a lot fewer tackles).

Singleton may have led the NFL in 2021, when he had 20. However, he improved his missed tackle rate by a ton since then. His tackling used to be a problem and it isn't anymore.

ETA: just clicked on the Raiders (first opponent on Denver's schedule) and they have two players with more missed tackles than Singleton.

Singleton with a pass defensed and a fumble recovery to go along with 10 tackles as Denver goes to 6-5(?) with 29-12 vs Cleveland.
