I’m more interested in the stair replacement at the Julia Martin apartments. That’s been long overdue. Seriously, I was up in Bozeman last week and heard the new scoreboard is suppose to be in place this summer. The scoreboard will be on the existing pedestals with two more added due to its size.coachouert wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 1:14 pmFor those of you that were vocal about the scoreboard at the end of last year, next week's BoR meeting is a good one to pay attention to:

And pink Tshirt club is requesting approval to increase costs of indoor practice facility to $10M.
Sounds like the engineering estimates were off by 25%.
Hope they aren't use MSU graduates to formulate the budget.

Re: Board of Regents...
Indoor Practice Facility Funds are up to $8M raised. RFQ is out. Another fundraising push will start soon. Once they see the quotes and how the fundraising is going they will make a final decision on an 80 yard vs 100 yard field. Quotes were for an 80 yard field. Goals is to start construction this year and have the concrete work done before winter.

Wow...that's progressing quickly. Might be ready for spring 2024 practice?gtapp wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 8:24 amIndoor Practice Facility Funds are up to $8M raised. RFQ is out. Re: Board of Regents...
That would be an awfully ambitious deadline. Pending design complexity, of course. If it's just a big, open building with very little in the way of other rooms that require lots of finish work, them maybe. However, I assume they are likely shooting for a summer/fall 2024 completion date, which would be handy in the event of a bad fire season. At least they could practice inside and not choke on the smoke outside.Catfanatic84 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 11:53 amWow...that's progressing quickly. I hope it’s big enough so those poor folks south of the stadium will quit complaining that they can’t hear the game.

I wonder what will become of the one being replaced. Perhaps donated to another program?
