Man, I’d give this kid a full ride on his name alone.
*I’m joking! I really wouldn’t give him a full ride on his name alone. I just meant that in jest. I know full rides should only be given out to the best players.
He will make a fortune just on the NIL t-shirts he sells.
*Yes, I know fortune is a subjective word since a fortune to one person may not be a fortune to someone else.

Didn’t have an offer from MSU but he and his dad were on a visit during the playoff game.

Can someone tell me why this kid didn't get more than a PWO? He has size, speed and his video shows he has some hops. Also 3.7gpa so a smart kid. It doesn't make sense. He also had 14tds for the year.

Only the coaching staff could answer that question, but it isn't as though this player was flooded by offers from schools other than MSU if he ended up signing locally as a PWO. The WR that MSU did sign from the state of Washington (Jabez Woods) is also highly rated, a 3-star recruit with equally impressive stats and highlight film. We'll find out in a few years if MSU offered the right player.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 5:50 amCan someone tell me why this kid didn't get more than a PWO? Hard to figure out as we could have probably got this kid with a partial. I have seen others we have offered and this kids stats jump way ahead. I guess thats why I am not a football coach as they must have not seen something they were looking for or who knows.MSU01 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 10:20 amOnly the coaching staff could answer that question, but it isn't as though this player was flooded by offers from schools other than MSU if he ended up signing locally as a PWO. He doesn’t mention what his offer from MSU was. He grew up an EWU fan, his dad played for EWU, and he is from nearby Spokane. I have my doubts a partial or even more would have swayed him to MSU.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 11:00 amHard to figure out as we could have probably got this kid with a partial. HS stats can be a very difficult thing to evaluate on. Scheme, competition, all play a big role. An example is Superales, who has very good stats but didn’t have any FCS scholarship offers. Anyways, all that to say, look at HS state with a grain of salt.GrizgradCatFan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 5:50 amCan someone tell me why this kid didn't get more than a PWO? The Spokane area is not a big football town when it comes to High School athletics. The large schools (AA and above equivalent on a MT. scale) have low turnout for their football programs. The quality of competition can lead to some great stats against a weak opponents. This is just my opinion living in Spokane. This is a basketball town when it comes to student athletes and community support.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 8:41 amHS stats can be a very difficult thing to evaluate on.
