I swear I saw a SDSU player punch a Bobcat and the ref went over and said something to the kid immediately after. The Bobcat was just finishing up a tackle and was on top of the SDSU player.

That did happen in the first half when MSU was on offense. it was #48 who later in the 4th quarter was called for unnecessary roughness for his hit on Sean Austin. Before our game with SDSU I looked at all or parts of 3 of their games he threw similar punches in every one.

Was it #48 that was trying to make a wishbone out of Sean Chambers’ hand in the pile a play before he got, hmmm, injured?

Yeah, it wasn't a one-off issue. He would throw at least one dig into each article last year. He's grown a ton over his second season. I actually enjoy reading his articles now.

This generation of "journalists" (old man alert!) seem very self-important and defensive. They can't handle any criticism and double down strongly when confronted. There was another MT sports writer that has reacted similarly (could have even been Flores but don't want to throw him under the bus if unwarranted). It's definitely not just a sports thing but very prevalent in the industry in general. I don't know if that's a J-school thing or just the corrosive nature of social media.
