Sorry. I don't know how to post just the image. But picture #6 on this article is Troy showing up to off season workouts... in a Carhartt sweatshirt. lol At least it doesn't appear to have any cow manure on it.

Maybe he should be the 1st NFL endorsement for Carhart!?

All I'm going to say is Falcons fans don't deserve Troy. They are some whiney little bitches in Georgia.

I don't think they've been that bad...there's a few trolls that mention Dean, but they usually get called out for being wrong. I think that most fans realize he has a chance to make a big jump next year.

Yeah, I started seeing quite a few fans admitting they were wrong about TA. Now it's just a few who aren't happy. A lot of sports fans do that...find a hot take and stick with it. That way in the event they end up being right, they can say "I was the only one saying _______". I'd love to go back and see how many Patriots fans were unhappy about Tom Brady playing even after Drew Bledsoe was healthy. I'm sure plenty of armchair quarterbacks thought that move would set the Pats back and there must have been a reason TB didn't get drafted higher, blah blah blah. I'd imagine the majority of fans early on that were on the Tom Brady bandwagon were Michigan fans.

From Bair Mail:

How is Troy Andersen coming along in his second year, and how are he and Kaden Elliss working together?

Bair: Troy Andersen has been really good thus far and I think he and Kaden Elliss form a solid pairing on the inside. That's due to versatility, which will allow them to cover for each other. Andersen is so, so fast. He can stay with most any skill player and is quick enough to get after the quarterback.

He seems to be grasping Ryan Nielsen's scheme well, at least from the practices open to the media. The chance to start over the second half of last year was a real benefit to him as well. He just seems comfortable with his responsibilities. I think he and Elliss can form a team strength at the second level.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but both the Atalanta Falcons ILB's will be from the Big Sky Conference........our Troy Andersen and Idaho's Kaden Elliss. Elliss's senior year at Idaho was 2018 which I believe was the Vandal's first year returning to the FCS. He spent his first ~3+ years with the Saints before landing with the Falcons last year. GO BIG SKY!

Interior linebackers
How good can the Kaden Elliss/Troy Andersen pairing be?

The sky just might be the limit with these two. No joke. Troy Andersen's as fast as most any skill player he'll be asked to cover. He's a sure tackler who, if he continues to develop, can be a heat-seeking missile going back or playing downhill.

Kaden Elliss had a breakout season in 2022, his first as a full-time starter. He had seven sacks and was all over the place in the New Orleans Saints defense. How will he do, however, without DeMario Davis playing next to him? That's a bit of an unknown.

So is Andersen's ability to execute consistently. He's young and learning on the job, which means mistakes will be made at times. If he can minimize them, make proper reads and play at breakneck speeds, he could break out as one of the league's top modern linebackers.

There's so much potential in this pairing, especially if they can play several years together. What can they get out of 2023? That depends on how fast they can build chemistry and work well together.

Speaking of Nielsen, Andersen was one of only a few players Nielsen specifically spoke about in his very first press conference as the Falcons newest defensive coordinator.

"I'm excited about this particular player," Nielsen said of Andersen in February. "There is definitely a place (for him). His skill set allows him to do a lot of things that fit certain things that we want that position to do. He's been awesome.”

Nielsen said at that point he and Andersen had already had three or four conversations about Nielsen's vision for him. At the time, Nielsen had only had the job for 10 days, but he already knew what he had in Andersen. He was already brainstorming for how to use his specific skillset.
