dude.. you're saying exactly what i'm saying.

yea the "betting and the money" influence the spread.

but I bet alot of sports, NDSU gets a TON of Betting on them, because of what i've already said.

Vegas lost a ton on NDSU on the moneyline's at 4 -1 and 5-1 on those FBS games, that's where your not hearing me. Oh well

I cannot imagine betting the farm either way on this game, I think the current line is about right. I could see the cats winning, but I could also see them getting blown out in Fargo.

The only thing influencing the line is the money coming in on both sides of the bet. The line adjusts over time to make sure the money on both sides is equal. I guess I could agree that the past success of the Bison has influenced bettors to wager on a 17.5 pt spread. It's not Vegas making a statement on the outcome. Vegas has both sides balanced and Vegas doesn't lose money on games. Not even on the FBS games you reference.
Precisely. We here in Vegas don't give a hoot who wins, we just want our vig.

(Though someone from out-of-town took home some good bucks at our watch party last weekend and I didn't get my cut.)

Is Westgate the best book in town.. I was just there for the rodeo and some of the casinos had a line for the NDSU game but never any of the others.
Westgate pretty good in my opinion.

Currently Cats +18.5
+700
O/U 47.5

Bet the farm
I told my wife we should bet the farm, she said there’s nothing left, you already did that!

Somehow I did talk her into $100
