The Lulay discussion regarding "to be drafted, or not to be drafted" got me intrigued. Feel free to add to the lists below. I guess these lists would go back 20, or so, years.
I-AA QBs that I consider to have "made it" in the NFL:
Steve McNair - Alcorn State
Rich Gannon - Delaware
Kurt Warner - Northern Iowa
Jay Fiedler* - Dartmouth
Josh McCown - Sam Houston
Chad Pennington* - Marshall
Div II QBs that I consider to have "made it" in the NFL:
Neil Lomax - Portland State
Ken O'Brien - UC Davis
Jon Kitna - Central Washington
Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

I thought Kitna was DIvision II as well but wasn't it his records that Emmert broke this year.
The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

Daunte Culpepper (sp) Central Florida
I'm not sure about Pennington. Didn't he only play 1 year as a I-AA QB for Marshall the year they lost to the griz in 95? Didn't he redshirt the next year the year they beat the griz and then move up to 1-A?
Can't think of anyothers.

I astericed Pennington for that reason.
UCF is in Conference USA now. Were they I-AA when Culpepper was there?

I think Jamie Martin has to make the list. I know he is a backup, but he has made it in the NFL.

Central Washington was NAIA DII when Kitna played there, they have since moved to NCAA DII.
Dave Krieg played for NAIA Milton College.
Jim Zorn played for DII Cal Poly Pomona

John Friez from Idaho could also be added to that list. He won the Payton award in 1989, and played for 11 seasons in the NFL.

Have there been any "drop-down" guys that have made it in the NFL at QB yet?

Ryan Fitzpatrick. He came out last year, and was one of (if not the) highest rated I-AA QBs in the draft last year.

He was the only 1AA QB drafted last year.

UCF was I-A with Culpepper. They almost beat Nebraska in 97 or 98 with Culpepper.

Actually, didn't Jamie Martin start the last game for St. Louis this year? I was pretty sure that he threw for 357 yards that game with a TD and 2 picks.

UCF went to I-A in 1996. Culpepper's rookie season was 1999.

I don't know if these guys would qualify as having "made it" but they have been in the NFL for several years
Craig Nall: Green Bay Packers - Northwestern State
Tony Romo: Dallas Cowboys - Eastern Illinois
