Second scrimmage thread

I might go. If I do, I’ll post here instead of on Twitter. If I don’t go, I expect some of you to post here.

Hoping to get a good dose of Bauman, but I think he’ll only throw 5-6 passes since the plan is to only run 20-25 plays for the 1s and 2s.

It’ll be a good day to see if there are any young guns coming up.

Rachac and Skyline have quite a few tweets going on the action

According to Twitter the 3s are rolling. Beltran has looked good. Perry too

Rachac tweet: Andersen lines up in the slot with Travis Jonsen in shotgun. Probably going to see a good amount of that this season

Pool tweet -Casey Bauman, now MSU's starter, just made a great touch pass to the sideline to Kevin Kassis, who made a great catch over the hands of Daniel Hardy. Then Bauman comes off the field, and Travis Jonsen take a direct snap for a 7-yard run

Rachac: Trips right, Bauman drops one in perfectly to an outstretched Kevin Kassis. 25 yards.

Pool: #MSUBobcatsFB offense is going to be fascinating this season, if this is any indication. Bauman went back onto the field and took himself for a 2-yard touchdown run. Jonsen ran four times for decent gain, and then Andersen will be a threat every time he's on offense

Rachac: Bauman sheds his red no-contact jersey and runs it in from 1-yard out
Tucker Rovig now in at QB. Six different players have taken snaps so far
LB alignment with what looks like the 1st-team defense: Andersen, Jobman and Askelson with Sterk at Buck

Pool: Andersen is now behind center. Per usual, he just plowed through the defense and fell forward for a first down

Rachac; Rovig goes deep to McCutcheon down the near sideline. Good ball, better defense by CB Ty'Rhae Gibson singled up

Pool: Jaharie Martin, who's officially listed at running back after starting fall camp at linebacker, looks impressive. The Lakeland, Florida, native broke a run for a first down

Rachac: Eric Zambrano picks off Bauman on sideline pass intended for Kassis

Bauman shows off his gun but the ball is zipped too far in front of Travis Jonsen, who would have been gone had he been able to corral it

Rachac: OLB Daniel Hardy is one of the more noticeable guys in terms of who bulked up and looks stronger compared to last year

Pool: Beltran hits Tullis again on a short slant and he takes it for a big gain within the 30-yard line

Jory Choate took a big hit, but is back.

Based upon what I saw, Troy Andersen is the best QB we have to put on the field. He is a man among boys out there. Easily leads the offense when is playing QB. Bauman and Rovig looked spotty at best. Hope it improves.

Troy did not play many reps at LB tonight at all.

Shane Perry was a real positive surprise at RB and Lane Sumner had some nice reps too.

Beltran played well. Better than 1 and 2 on short and intermediate balls.

Jobman looks huge.

Shane Perry also impressive.

Jory Choate pick 6

Areta is a bulldozer

Knight at qb is fun to watch. The kid is a competitor.

This isn't surprising. This will likely become a recurring theme that becomes obvious to all as the season progresses. I believe at some point we'll see TA back at the helm. Likely by Week 5.

I’ll stand by my prediction of long ago. Bauman gets the nod as qb1 but is replaced by Andersen by game 3-4
