Weber State

Post by profisme » Thu Jan 05, 2006 11:16 pm

The game between MSU and Weber tonight was a huge win for the Bobcats, not only because it starts them off 1-0 in conference play, but also because Dissly, Jefferson, Moss, and Durham each had big nights.

Weber may have had an off-night, but I have to say that I got to meet and talk to pretty much the whole team and they are a class act through and through. I just hope that the Bobcats get that kind of response when they travel to other universities to play. They made a good impression on me and I won't hesitate to cheer for them (as long as they aren't playing the Bobcats).

Good game Cats!

Yeah, I guess I've never seen a Weber team act like a bunch of punks. Joe Cravens did his normal amount of sniveling and whining, but the players really didn't say too much, even though they got whistled for a lot of offensive fouls. I didn't think Weber's football team was bad either when I saw them. My grandma hates them because they were real jerks in the 60s, but I don't see that at all from Weber State now.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/
My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

Agreed. Kudos to the Weber team on their good sportsmanship. I was only able to listen to the game tonight (work), but from what I heard it was a clean game. Sac State should take notes on these guys.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

If you heard the pregame show Joe Cravens said Mick is the best coach in the Big Sky. I've heard him give kudos to Mick before. I think they are pretty close friends. It's like the two old war horses got to stick together against the young upstarts!

Speaking of Cravens, although I love Dean ALexander it's a little annoying to me that he trashes on Cravens all year long but when he comes on the Sports nuts he acts like they are best buddies.

Don't trash Sac State. We're not just a bunch of punks over here. Coach Jenkins has really promoted good sportsmanship and he scolds his players if they even glance at an official cross eyed. Times have changed.

I'm just going on previous experiences with the Hornets. Their style of play is very physical, and things can sometimes get chippy inside. With the refs as bad as they are in this conference, sometimes things get out of hand, like 2 years ago when they came up here and beat Calvin Ento and Jason Ericson in a very poorly officiated game, with the Cats getting the worse end of the officiating. I am STILL frustrated over that game.
