Cat-griz start time moved up

They announced at the game tonight that the men's basketball game between the Cats and griz was moved from 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday. They didn't say why.

Good for me-I can go to the Belgrade-Manhattan Christian game in the evening, but I generally don't like day games inside the Fieldhouse. It's a different atmosphere.

Believe what you want, Swilly. Nick Dissly is coming alive. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Enough good natured ribbing for now. I was surprised to hear the time change. Is it a TV game with Altitude or Fox Sports now? It would be interesting to know why they changed the game time.

Kris said they changed time because it somehow conflicted with an NFL playoffs game, Denver I think.

What does a Denver playoff game have to do w/Cat-Griz? Isn't it bad enough we have to watch the Ponies on TV every week, now they are affecting our rivalry?

Rumor has it that the game was being moved up so they can televise it. Apparently it wasn't going to be televised if it was at 7:00 for some reason. Again, this is what I was told by someone who works in Athletics, so take it with a grain of salt.

This is correct the T.V station that has the rights to the Cat - Griz game has a football playoff game and has the authority to move the game if they want.

To bad because now it is direct conflict with the 4:30 Bozeman Hawk v. Great Falls High Bison game. I know this does not compare to the Cat - Griz game but it is a quality coaching match up of two of the AA's better coaches Mike Cole and Bob Howard and a chance to see a (hopefully) future Bobcat Bobby Howard (6'6" junior).

Why didn't they just move the Broncos game? What kind of mucked up priorities do we have in this country?

Brad Paisley Concert the next night. They need the extra time to teardown
the floor and set up for the concert.

Good point I talked to someone at the fieldhouse today and they said the TV contract + Concert were the two factors. To bad I think the crowd would be rockin for an evening game, afternoon games in the fieldhouse seemed subdued some times.

Well let's not all get our panties in a bunch guys... Afterall, isn't it better that we are having an earlier game on a Saturday, than having a afternoon Sunday game???!!!

Sorry, Dude.

Unfortunately, I'm a Raiders fan.

Always have been, always will be.

Not just against the "Donkeys", but every other team in the "AFC West".

Same here man. Dyed in the wool Broncos fan. I can't stand Al Davis or "Da Raida's". To me they are like the Griz. :P That, and I really don't like KC. I usually root for SD if it won't affect the Broncos, just cause I like LT and others on that team. Too bad Seattle went to the NFC. However, I think they are best suited for the NFC.

Did you say football playoff game and cats in the same sentence??
