Odd timing. I certainly wish him the best.

Good luck to him. This transfer portal process is going to blow up a lot of rosters across every level of college football and different kids are going to be on the move each year. Fans need to start getting used to it.

As for Mehki the football player, I hope this isn't because of a lack of playing time because he still has a lot of work to do become a college-ready wideout. Again, good luck to him and I hope he can get a valuable education while also playing football wherever he goes.

Be nice to have a system that throws to these WR's...

More bad news for the program... We need an abundance of offensive weapons. Not promising redshirts transferring out.

I agree it sucks losing guys, but if he came in last year and blew the doors off the league, it would be worse. Being a 3 Star WR in a run 1st offense is like being a punter on a team that goes for it on every 4th down. Good Luck Mr. Metcalf. I'm guessing he transfers to UW, just a guess.

Very, very, very raw WR.

I'm not too worried about it.

yeah, agree. like I said, bummed he is leaving... but its not the end of the world. Personally I think Duru has a WAY higher ceiling. He is also pretty raw, but I think he could develop into an Aklpa type receiver for the Cats over the next couple years.

Give me Mark Estes and Koby Duru all day long.

It sucks to lose him as I think he could have progressed nicely. He does however need to put some weight on still as he was still very thin. I agree this was not the right system for him if he wants to be in a pass heavy offense. If he didn't like the system/school/program now is the time to transfer as he didn't burn his redshirt. I wish him well and look forward to following him wherever he goes.

Until we prove we are going to throw the ball a bit, it may be hard to recruit and retain WRs.

Why would he transfer to UW? He didn’t play because he wasn’t ready and guys were ahead of him on the depth chart. Do you really think UW would provide a better chance to get playing time?

Not a lot of True Freshman are going to have noticeable playing time. He was a 3-Star WR out of High School. That alone give's him some credibility. The fact that UW is closer to home, its only a guess on my part. Basically any team that throws the ball more than us is possible place for him to land.
