With then end of the year fast approaching, now is the time to make any last minute contributions for your 2005 tax planning purposes. A contribution that should be on the minds of nearly everyone who reads this board is the MSU Athletic Scholarship Association.

The new booster levels and categories have been released:

Recruit (college graduates up to 2 years after graduation) $50
Rookie $100
Varsity $250
Letter Winner $400
Starter $750
Captain $1,350
All Conference $1,850
Hall of Fame $5,000
Living Scholar $10,000

Remember, at the end of the day, our dollars count a lot more than our words in terms of the success of Bobcat Athletics, so let’s donate our dollars, and then feel even more justified in adding all of our words (the purpose of this board) for emphasis!

Is this a 100% deduction. Sliding scale. Do you have to subtract market value of the stickers they give you

I think it is safe to assume that 100% of your booster donation is deductible. Let's deem the stickers, posters, membership cards, etc., to be "de minimus" in value.

The level of deduction depends on booster level, i.e. premium parking passes have a value, and will reduce the amount of the allowable deduction. If anyone wants to know the details, I suggest you call Josh at the above number.

Good point -- forgot about parking as I never get to use it.

Also consider joining your local Quaterback Club. This club has had a tremendous impact on Bobcat football. Without the QB Club we would not be where we are today with Bobcat football.

Coach Kramer uses this money to help with expenses of recruiting, upgrading of the video equipment and much more. The QB Club also helps with Kramers salary, which I might add has not increased since the day he arrived at Bozeman.

The current membership is about 178. This raises $178,000 for MSU football!!!!! Just think, if the mebership could reach 250 members we could take Bobcat football to the next level.

Please consider the QB Club for your end of year giving.

Do the CATS have a QB Club here in Missoula? If so, count me in.

I am checking at the moment to see if there is a QBC in Missoula. If not we should start one. I will let you know as soon as I know.

Here is the deal on the QBC in Missoula, There are a lot of members in the Missoula area, however due to Kramer's very busy travel schedule he does not hold weekly meetings in Missoula. The Bozeman chapter is considering a weekly video conference with Missoula.
