How in the world did you hold Denver's big guy to only one rebound in 35 minutes? That is unbelievable. Someone did a great job inside.

Good defense by Marvin Moss, Al Beye, Ted Morris and Carson Durr!

Nicholson was in a little foul trouble in the first half, so he played probably less than 10 minutes in the first half, but I agree it was a great job of blocking out by our big guys, and our guards really crashed the boards hard as well.

Nicholson is big, but did not seem to be terribly quick. Our bunch of mostly smaller or shorter bodies did a great job just keeping him out of position. MSU really out-rebounded Denver, not just Nicholson. Good job 'Cats. Plus we did not leave many rebounds in the overtime :D Rebounds are really just the result of shooting malfunctions.

AND once again, the newest contender for the "most annoying griz fan" (redundant, I know) comes into a thread that is actually ANALYZING a specific area of a specific game and shats all over it.

swill, offer some INTELLIGENT dialogue, move to the smack board, or (better yet) GET LOST.

I'm confused how the Team RPI displays that he was averaging almost 10 (9.5 to be exact according to ESPN.com) rebounds a game. I'm not a math major, but I think that is holding him well below what he has been doing all season long in games against Colorado State (17) Northern Arizona ( 18 ) and Stanford (11). Someone was trying to give the Cat Defense credit for playing well against a normally great inside player not discussing the team's RPI.

I also forgot that he had 12 rebounds against MSU the first time this season.

Here's the link I was looking at for Yemi Nicholson

The Cats played very well against Denver and they really held Nicholson below his averages. It was a great win for the Cats and just shows that maybe things are starting to click here.

We held the 37th best rebounder in the country to one rebound. Shut up for once in your life and leave the smack out of it.

Thank Christ. All these good threads turn into a bunch of crap because some griz fan has to go on and shoot his mouth. It never ends.

I'm surprised the UM football stadium didn't have anything to do with Swilly's argument. It is the answer for everything you know.

Exactly. Swilly, it had absolutely no relevence to anything about the topic or any previous post in this topic. It was either a weak attempt at smack, or you have a reading comprehension problem--which is it?

And UofM has only beaten one team with an RPI higher. Drake (107) in overtime.

I'm still confused how RPI relates to the topic? Could it be....NOTHING?

Look at all the richeous indignation of some cat fans, as if cat fans never stoop to throwing a little jab in to break up a love fest.

Good job holding the guy in rebounds for the cat squad, no doubt. But swilly hardly stepped over any line that hasn't been crossed hundreds of times by fans from all sides. Had cat fans just brushed the comment off, no side tracking would have happened.

Neither would have if he didn't say anything at all.
