Travis Lulay added to his impressive resume on Friday
Montana State quarterback Travis Lulay added to his impressive list of credentials on Friday, earning a spot on the I-AA Athletic Directors Academic All-Star squad.
Lulay became one of 45 players named to the eighth annual team. He joins fellow Big Sky standouts Joey King of Portland State, Joey Cwik of Eastern Washington, and Eric Jones of Weber State, all linebackers.
Lulay also became one of seven finalists for two $5,000 scholarshps presented to I-AA standouts by NACDA. The seven finalists are Adam Degraffenreid, Charleston Southern, defensive lineman, 4.00; Reed Doughty, Northern Colorado, safety, 4.00; Gerell Golightly, Hampton, offensive lineman, 3.79; Nick Hartigan, Brown, running back, 3.91; Travis Lulay, Montana State, quarterback, 3.85; Matthew Magerko, James Madison, offensive lineman, 3.79; and John Schabilion, Northern Iowa, offensive lineman, 3.87.
