ESPY-Best clutch performance by a Bobcat basketball player!!

Post by whizonthegriz » Thu Dec 15, 2005 5:02 pm

I feel like handing out an ESPY. Avoiding some of the obvious choices--My vote goes to Quad against Syracuse. He was amazing in the loss--something like 12-13 from the field and perfect from the freethrow line. Totally outplayed John Wallace. That Syracuse team turned all right, too.

Sprinkle's performance in the 96 Big Sky Tournament or Tony Hampton's in the 86 Big Sky Tounament.

What ever happened to Quad--I know he went to Europe after to college to play and was invited to an NBA camp--the Rockets maybe? But I have not heard his name in a few years. Unless, of course I am with fellow Cat fans rehashing that great year.

Scott Hurley's half-court buzzer-beating bank shot to beat the Griz sometime in the mid-80s. I was a young lad at that game and it cemented my preference for the Bobcats. I was wavering because a lot of family members went to the UM. I will never forget that moment and it is still to this day the craziest I have ever seen a Bobcat crowd react to a win.
