Joey Thomas Again

Joey is still sitting at third string LCB for New Orleans. He has no stats for the year at NO. I believe he has been inactive for every game. Is he hurt or on his way out of the NFL?

I saw him play on special teams in the Saints-Jets game a couple of weeks ago. #33 I think.

It may be taking him awhile to learn the new defensive schemes. When he was picked up it sounded like the Saints were basically just giving him an "extended tryout". I just hope we see him get some playing time other than on special teams.

I saw him play in the Saints/Jets game too. The only reason I was watching the pathetic game. He did "almost" make a tackle on special teams--otherwise I didn't see much of him at all.

Hopefully, he is doing something in practice that is impressing the coaches.
