I noticed that the article mentioned that Force would be the punter next year... It doesn't sound like we're done with the roll-out just yet!
Lets hope for a productivce 8 months in the classroom, weightroom, and on the recruiting trail.

Also noticed they are moving Big Lou to Right Guard. I like it. Can you imagine being a linebacker and trying to find Groves in behind 6'6" Saucedo and 6'7" Hirst? Now, we just need some beef at Center.

Did anyone notice that Rosie's name was not mentioned in the portion of the article pertaining to receivers? Also I have heard that the other D1 QB they're looking at is from U of Hawaii.

Just because Kramer says something in the paper, doesn't mean it's so - sometimes he just makes noise and stirs the pot. I'd like to see him just use his extensive verbosity for our opponents only - but that sort of goes against his grain.

I have heard that Rosey probably won't see the field again. He has been given chance after chance, and continues to make critical errors (Fumbles/drops/penalties/missed assignments...etc). I think Kramer is done with him.

Good!

He has been underwhelming at best IMO.

ok,so any rumors going around on any cuts???any one being sent home???just a thought....and i ran into Big Lou (by the way,he is huge!!!) and confirmed that he was going back to right guard....i like the defense with force, lowe, king, fuller, papich and daly returning with the others.offense i like the move of Big Lou going to right guard.it adds some well needed beef in there to move the pile and create some inside runs....i just cant wait for next year!!!

Ran in to Big Lou? That had to hurt.

With Lou at RG, we will have to get a QB who is at least 7'2" to see over him. But in all seriousness, having guys who are 6'7" and 6'6" respectively in Joe Hirst and Lou Saucedo, that is a very tall right side of the line. Heck, Evin could crawl up into Lou's jersey and hide there while Lou runs downfield. The defense wouldn't know what hit them. We would call it the Samoan Sneak.

The article doesn't mention Siataga during the discussion of the D-Line. Is this just an oversight, or did something happen? I thought he was only a Junior this year.

He was only a junior and I think that he was just left out. Not to worry. He actually started over Lou at nose (once his shoulder healed from 2-a-days) The DL isn't as much of an issue next year. Papich, Siataga, and Kolone all return. Lowe might go to DE (at part time) and Daly might play DE at times (as he did this last year). Hoff might come into the mix from grey-shirting.
I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in one TR/Drop-down here, but it's basically going to be the group that helped stop the run against UM.

Eddie Smith and Chris Davis were not mentioned in the article.
Anything new? Or are they not even being thought of in the mix?

You also forgot Matakis!

Forgot Matakas simply because I'm not convinced he will be back. A knee like that is a tough thing to come back from. He has the time, but it's never 100%. He is a huge plus, we'll see.
And yes, Hoff wasn't listed simply because he has to make it through school this year and he could still redshirt next year. So he's not a given. He is also not a proven Div-I player yet. Huge upside and great to have, but can't count on him yet. We'll see what happens this spring on Hoff, he will be able to be on the field then.
The DL needs about 5 or 6 guys (7 if they go 4-3). There are different packages for rush defense and pass defense. So listing 3 or 4 was not enough. And I just can't see counting on Matakas as one of the key 5, you have to have him as number 6 or 7 with a huge upside. If he is whole, I can see him starting in a 4-3 with Saitaga next to him.
Still would like to see one stud DL transfer.
