Just how much support does Baily have?

Assuming he can coach special teams. Luckily it doesn't take that much creativity. I would rather see him not be a coach at all as I think his attitude is terrible, but if that is an option I will take it.

Just a quick reminder; Kramer was the Offensive Coordinator in 2000. I think Kramer should not coach any position. He should over see all of his assistants and sell the program to the boosters, fans and potential student athletes.

Bailey has proven is inability to coach, so he should be let go. Get some new blood. I think Kramer has done a very good job of finding coaches since joining MSU with the exception of Bailey. It is time for Kramer to find a new Offensive Coordinator.

I moved to Baily to Special Teams coach because Kramer sucks at it and I know Kramer is a loyal to his coaches.

You should have had an option that said, "Fire Bailey and hire a new Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coach."

There is no way that they would move Bailey over to special teams. MSU would not pay Bailey his current salary to coach special teams, and if Bailey was getting paid less his pride would make him quit.

Being from the Hi-line I don't get to see/hear much of the politics of the situation. What specifically are the gripes about Bailey? Sorry for the ignorance.

Well, most of us who post here would actually be better coaches than Bailey  . People think he's too predictable. I for one like the guy. He comes in with great game plans but if our kid's don't show up to execute, it looks like Bailey fouled up.

Bailey is a bad coach is a good place to start. He had one of the best offensive lines in the conference, arguably the best QB in the conference, a very talented RB in Groves (who he refused to use in the first 7 games of the season, even though the Cats had no running game), and a very talented WR group. We ended the season ranked 3rd in the conference with our offense (we could have very easily been 5th) and had 2 huge offensive break downs (EWU & Cal Poly). He started a center for 3 games despite 7 bad snaps, 3 of which resulted in turnovers. His play calling is VERY predictable and he refuses to use trick plays to keep a defense honest. He was fortunate to have Ryan Johnson his first 2 seasons and Lulay these past 3 seasons. Bailey has done a below average job, and needs to be replaced for the good of the system.

Mr. George,

If you know anything about MSU football you'd know that nothing on that team happens w/o the big humans say so. Who plays, who doesn't. What game plan to employ. which not. Give us a break.

Kramer has aggressively defended the performance of his special teams this year and has said he WILL be the special teams coach next year.

I'm with GW on this one. Bailey's play calling is predictable. He has had the best offensive talent the last 2 years for sure and probably 3 and done sqwat.

Many people disgree with me on Bailey but in my opinion all you have to do is look at what Cal Poly did after he left.

Bailey hasn't got it done and he's had to talent. Lulay won DESPITE Bailey.

Thank you PDX Cat for writing:

That's the truth. If any of you have been to a Quarterback Club meeting in the last week, you see a lot of guys jump offisdes, etc. Everyone always blames the Offensive Coordinatior. They should get hazard pay for all the flack they take. Look at the stats for Eastern Washington. MSU had more yards of total offense, but turnovers killed them. Even Travis, the best of the best, fouled some things up.

And the boring, repetative, running game you saw at the end of 'Cat Griz is the way Kramer likes to play football (rember those 6 years at EWU?), and everything goes through him, so that's the way they will play in the future. They just haven't had the depth at tight end to do it before.

As for Special Teams... Kramer isn't going to fire himself. You don't like th roll punt, you say? They why was Travis the second best punter in the conference? And why are other teams, UM included, trying to emulate it? It's harder than it looks.

Play calling, Play calling, Play calling.

Oh and he is a terrible ambassador to this fine university. What a pcrik.

Which one is a terrible ambassador? Kramer or Bailey? I'll give you that Bailey can't hold hi head still when he's talking, but come on, people love Pete Kwiatkowski, and I haven't seen him do a lot of PR work?

I'm talking about Bailey, and I'm talking about how he interacts with people around Bozeman in all settings not just with the high priced boosters.

Pete K. is a gentleman and an all around nice guy, and so is Kramer.

Bailey calls the Offensive plays not Kramer.

Thank god it's not Kramer... 0-11 anyone!?

Being, out of Bozeman now, I'm curious, what has Bailey done to offend the community?

Playing basketball against kids and women and telling them all to F off is one the really sticks out in my mind.
