From to "State" to "They"

Looks like Hauck has decided to call MSU "they" in place of "State." I noticed he didn't say "State" during any of his interviews, but every paper I read had to have "(Montana State)" or "(Bobcats)" in parenthesis because he didn't refer to "them" as such.

come on, who really cares. If that bothers you then you need to get some thicker skin. I've heard Hauck nothing but nice things about the Cats and Lulay all week.

I like Bobby Hauck. His record against MSU is worth keeping him around as long as possible. He can refer to us as anything he wants as long as he keeps losing to us!

Agreed, he has definitely cleaned up this portion of his act. He made some nice gestures after the game with Lulay and some other players, and he was very respectful on his coaches show last night.
Still not saying I like the guy, but as of this weekend, I have a lot more respect for Bobby.

He hasn't earned the right to call us Montana State, or The Montana State University.

I must say I have new-found respect for Hauck. Give credit where it’s due. He has matured quite a bit in the last couple years. I was absolutely shocked several times Sunday morning reading the write-ups. The one that really got me was “And we couldn’t really get anything going on offense but the credit has to go to how well they played defensively.” He also went on to say that it’s a shame we wouldn’t get a bid and that the Bobcats and Lulay deserved it. Couple that with Kramer’s quote of “Let’s just put the equipment away and chalk it up as a great season – at 7-4 I’m happy to be eating Turkey at home.” I thought I was in the twilight zone or something…

Oh,
that Kramer quote. I didn't think you meant the comment he mouthed to all the world watching. Pretty clearly he was asking the refs to "have intercourse", "you mother loving" "penile siphoners!" Or something similar.
Now he's a "clASS" act (minus the c-L) piece of work.

BH changed my perception of him this week...WOW!
but why do i get the feeling that if BH gave away his gameplan to kramer, waited on cat fans hand and foot at specs after all bobcat games, and started referring to Montana State as "our brothers in bozeman" some cat fans will still be posting "yeah but he forgot my beer"...
hey i dont like BH as much as the next guy, and honestly like i stated earlier my perception of him is changing, but c'mon lets give credit when credit is due

I know that Bobby had nothing but phrases containing euphemisms for sunshine and kittens coming from his lips all game

since I was sitting two rows from the sideline

I'm having a tough time following the logic, Gonzo. They're talking about what Hauck says to reporters after the game, with tape recorders and video cameras running.
You seem to be talking about what Kramer says to refs when a live ball hits our guy in the back, they recover it, but the refs rule our guy was blocked into it. As a Griz fan I think I see how Iron Mike might have found that a little irritating. And if what he said was so inappropriate, why didn't he get flagged? Looks like the refs wrote it off to the heat of the moment.

Bobby appears to me either like guy that is finally secure in his job and doesn't need to rant and rave about losing to the Cats, or he's not long for the UM job and is on his way out. Either way I am very impressed by his classy demeanor this last week....it even makes it hard to hate him...so I'll just have to hate the Griz only!

I have a better opinion of Hauck after this game. It's hard to hate a person who comes from small-town Montana. He still rubs me the wrong way a little bit, but I don't mind how he can't seem to win here at Bobcat Stadium. But he did a much better job after the game and showed the same class that his predecessors possessed. It was much better than 2003.

Don't be so sure. The purpose of pointing out that "it's a shame Lulay didn't make the playoffs" may have been to hint that if Lulay had just come to UM he'd been in the playoffs every year. As in, "are you listening out there boys and girls? Don't go to MSU if you to be in the playoffs." I'm not saying this is what he WAS doing for sure, just saying watch out for this guy. Sort of an Eddie Haskell sound to him lately. "Hello Mr. Bobcat. Hello Mrs. Bobcat. Gee, Mrs. Bobcat your hair looks most wonderful today."
