I'm just wondering if it is time to upgrade/change the MSU license plate?? It seems to me that we still have the orginal model still beig sold. I currently license three vehicles with MSU plates and have purchased numerous other plates since the inception of the said program.
Now I know MSU spent tens of thousands of dollars developing a new "brand." I'm thinking the new blue & gold M with the CAT logo to the side. Heck, run a contest on campus by having students submit their best design. The winner wins free tuition for a year. Or how about the University logo with the M or Cat logo??
Heck, who knows?? Maybe we should post a poll on this subject. I'll leave that up to the moderators. GO BOBCATS!!

Both of our vehicles have them too. And a little update would be nice. Then again, I lived in Nebraska long enough to find out that when you want better liscense plates, you can end up getting something gawd awful!

I think it would be a great idea to come up with a new license plate... maybe they could even do a seperate license plate for team sports (just add a football or a basketball, a golf ball or a tennis ball or something)... Maybe that would be a way to get a little more money from the Alumni who want to contribute to support a specific sport.
They could up the price of the plates for the first year, and all that money would go towards new seating in Bobcat Stadium!!
?? I don't know. Any thoughts??

I am for it, but PLEASE don't make them as stupid looking as the griz plates. I don't know who came up with the plate that says GRIZ across it, but it is pathetic.

I agree, you can't even see the FRIZ in the backround with all of the numbers and letters on it.

You're right, they should leave the plates the way they are. Maybe they could add a decal sticker though, kind of like the parking lot stickers, but in the shape of a football or an object that represents what they are supporting? People could purchase those to add to their bumper or license plate or something and all proceeds would go to that organization. They could set it up so that 2006 stickers would go towards paying for new seats in the east endzone, or maybe it could be a joint effort to pay for the goal post that came down AND new seats.
Just thinking out loud...

You want them to use the branding iron logo? I keep hoping it'll simply disappear as people ignore it.

Most of my family, me included, has Bobcat license plates on the cars. They look great as it is and the colors match our older ones that most people, myself included, liked so well. So I don't see any reason to change them, they look great.
GO CATS!
