I would venture a guess that Force is the only player in BSC history who has punted and returned a punt in the same game.

He is a great player who can do it all. I bet he could QB it up if he had to.

Not to mention the fact that we are probably the only D-1 team in America who didn't have a person designated as a kicker punt the ball once on the entire season.

That touchdown pass into the back of the endzone seemed like it was in slow motion for me during the game. I kept waiting for Ryan to turn around and make a play on the ball.

For next year, I really think that we need a standard, deep-booming punter. The Grizzly punter was really very good and he has been all year. The roll-punt style worked great with Lulay, but for next year, a return to a full time punter would work best.

I agree. Lulay was an anomaly, Good at anything you would ask him to do. Hell, he held for us on two extra point when Coppack got butterfingers, and they were both good holds.

BTW, Force has been likened to Jim Thorpe by Kramer and Atterbury more than once. He is just that type of player.

If anyone remembers, I liked the commercial with Bill Cowher and Kordell Stewart, when he got hit on the sideline and knocked senseless. He got up and said "Kordell, Get out there and punt!"

Force also brought some lumber to the game yesterday... so much for our DB's being scared of big, bad Lex... Ryan straight made him crumple like a bi*** more than once.

i agree we need to go back to traditional punt style. lulay was great at the rollout punt, limiting returns and sending the ball deep. but as seen yesterday, i dont think force has the stuff to do it. fisher was an all state punter, he would do a great job. bolton punted some in high school, did a good job. hastings punted at his juco last year and i think was all-league. so we have the punters, so let's use them!

Fisher needs to do the punting. End of discussion.
