I can just hear "The Babby" now <insert whining, crying voice into your head> "Well, "State" was just hitting us sooo hard and their defense must have been cheating 'cause they made us look sooo bad and "State" had that one offensive guy who kept running around us and over us and and and...".

I haven't heard his post game interview. But in today's game day insert in the Chronicle, Bobby actually called lulay by name and referred to him as one of the best, if not the best, qb in the big sky conference.

Dare I say he's making some head way?

Hauck will blame the kids for the loss, as is typical for him. It's never his fault, you see.

Umm, Kramer is blamed for that kind of crap... Bobby might be a few things: Big nosed, not suited to coach as the head coach at any level in D I, but he DOES not blame his kids.

You can't blame a player or individual coach for the loss today.

I also recall seeing on TV Hauck hugging Lulay right after the game.

See, that's classy I guess. I think the Griz and the Cats are in the same shoes next season.... who the F*#@ is going to be our QB? Your awesome QB graduated, and we're still looking for at least a good QB.

I saw that too. After Travis had kneeled for the last time, Hauck walked right out to him and gave him a hug. Classy move coach!

It won't be called the "Bobbie Hauck" show for long, if he doesn't roll some heads around here!

His name is CORY CARPENTER. Don't forget it. It will be the equivilant of Davey Dick handing the reins over to Brian Ah Yat. We will be just fine, thank you for the concern though.

OH? And wasn't it Bobby who stated that he told his kicker in 2003 to kick away from Corey Smith but the kicker didn't do so? Isn't that BLAMING the kicker and making sure that the public knew BOBBY didn't blow the play?

Yes, btw, the same Bobby that's now 1-2 vs the Montana State University Bobcats...

You're right about Hauck blaming Snyder on that kick, Gato. He also blamed Johnson, our punter, versus Sam Houston in Texas, after Johnson faked a punt on 4th-and-29 and tried to run for the first down. Johnson later said that he was taught by Hauck to look for certain keys in the defense, and if he saw them, he should fake the punt and run the ball. Apparently these keyes were there, so he did what he was taught. Hauck was supposed to call off the possible fake by giving him a hand signal prior to the point. Apparently during the excitement of the game, Hauck forgot to do so. So, Johnson did what he had been taught and faked the punt. Hauck never admitted to the public that he screwed up in not talking the fake off, and pubically blamed Johnson, which went over with this kid like a fart in church.

Hauck did a similar thing early this season after a special teams snafu. He blamed the kids instead of himself. You see, it is never his fault when anything goes wrong. And, don't you forget it!

Hauck should be gracious. He has no reason to be anything but gracious.

He now has a losing record against the Bobcats, his offense is a shell of what Grizzly fans have come to expect, and at best they will get two home playoff games.

That said, I will be pulling for the Griz to represent the great state of Montana and the Big Sky conference well in the playoffs.

I was surprised, maybe even shocked, at what I read about Hauck in the paper this morning. He was about 100 times classier than 2 years ago here after that game. I still think he's the Grinch

I was down watching the QB's warm up in the pre game and Carpenter throws a very very nice ball. I think we will be in good shape now for next year now that we can run the ball consistently with Groves. We just need to bring in 1-2 WR's for next year and we'll be ready to go in my opinion. We will go back to the 4-3 where we will have Kolone/Matakis/Papich/Saucedo/Siataga/Maciacolla (sp)/Hoffenbacker with Lowe/Daly/King at LB's .... and a pretty darn fine secondar returning.

It will be a great year again next year and we all need to get up there and attend games. 6-0 this year at home. Lets keep it up Cat fans as the Crowd makes a difference (12th man!).

Of course some people are upset. An inferior team is in the playoffs as an at-large bid over a superior team. Not exactly quantum physics here.

Upset? Hell ya I'm upset. Why didn't our athletic director schedule a D-II team for us and a low level just coming up from D-II South Dakota State into our schedule? Why does our athletic department honor contracts with teams like Cal Poly and go down there and play them instead of just buying them out so that we can schedule more D-II teams to come and play us at home?
The bottom line is you guys aren't that great and took advantage of a soft schedule to show a good enough record to make the playoffs. Remember, even though you ended up with two losses in conference play, you are third in the tiebreaker. And, not even the top team in Montana!!!!!!
