Eastern should be favored because it is at home. It is just hard to tell as the MSU defense is just finally getting healthy. Also, has MSU been holding back some wrinkles on O and D as well that they haven't shown yet? Turnovers (who has the most and do they lead to scores?).

I am going to sit this prediction out as I just can't pick a score in this one. I will say both teams score 30+ I bet unless the weather is really really bad. If the Cats play smart and attack on both sides of the ball though they totally win this game.

After talking with some "key" players, they know we have to win this game. I just hope they are not too stressed out and keep their emotions intact. With that said, I think they will win. CATS-38, EWU-31.

With all the injuries they have (especially in their secondary) I dont think our offense will have a problem scoring. To win this game though, our defense has to come up big and I think they will. I have a feeling this team is starting to figure every thing out just in time. CATS-42 EWU-27

Closest to my thoughts so far, but I'm really having mixed emotions on this one- just depends on which team executes, but like you I think the 'Cats are coming together at the right time of the season.

Go Cats!

I think we win this game 42-30. We should have beaten them last year, and that is fresh on our minds...especially the defense. Our D is better (and healthier) than it was last year at this time. Our O is better and more balanced than what it was last year at this time. We have a reliable field goal kicker.

As for Eastern. The only thing that is better compared to last year is their running back. They have the same receivers, and the same QB, and their OL is pretty banged up, and they lost their best OT from last year. Their defense, is extremely banged up on the DL and Secondary. They have a pretty good linebacking corps, but other than that they are far worse off defensively this year than they were last. I also don't think that they have a very reliable kicking game.

The only things that can't be predicted are the intangibles. Penalties will play a HUGE factor. If the refs are calling a lot of PI's, both QBs could be in for big days. Also, it's hard to say if we will show up on the road. Outside the OSU game, we haven't played great on the road.

If we come out clicking like we did last year, I think that our defense will perform better, and we win going away. If we come out slow, it could be a long day.

Well, I think they might need room for another person in the Cardiac unit. I'll have to be there. But this is the scoring thread. My prediction: MSU 38, EWU 34. It will be a close, hard fought game, but this is MSU's year.

Well, I'd probably be with you guys, but I'll be at hunting camp in the Big Hole. Generator will be fired up & tv on in a warm wall tent with plenty of cold beer (only reason I won't be in Cheney). Scariest thing is the nearest hospital is Anaconda, but maybe they'll transport me to Deaconess. 8)

Kramer will use extra man power to keep Meyer from escaping to the sides where he makes plays. Ryan Cole will be utilized and get 150 yards on the ground, eating the clock up and in the process slowing Meyer down. EWU's defense will attempt to make MSU's running game beat them and MSU will have some success running the ball along with TL picking the secondary apart. Meyer will have a better day statistically(as he has all season) but will it be enough? EWU scores early...goes to pass prevent...get's burned by Lulay...hangs on for a tight win.
EWU 41 vs MSU 37

after the PM's i got last week about my detailed prediction for the game I thought I would try it again.

Since the game has a 3 o'clock start and since that is about the time that we usually get things really rolling, the cats score first and go up 7-0. On ewu's first play Meyer is sacked for an 8 yard loss. On the second play force intercepts it and returns it for a TD. Meyer and company put together a drive but are held in the red zone, and kick a field goal, making the score 14-3. The ensuing kick off is returned to midfield. groves has to big gains on the drive and runs it in from the 2yard line early in the 2nd quarter. Score holds and at halftime the score is 21-3. Of course every Bobcat fan everywhere is happy to be ahaed but has that knot in their stomach remembering last year.

On their opening drive of the second half the eagles are drivng toward the endzone. When Pete k notices that they are setting up with an empty backfield and calls the double super secret defense, this thing is a thing of beauty, the 1-10, as every linebacker on the roster and 2 kids, that made the trip from bozeman, and were a little late leaving the tailgate, trot on to the field, Meyer looks at his Wulff, Wulff barks (LOL) into the head set and the eagles burn a timeout. The bobcats stay on the field and the 2 kids from the parking lot introduce themselves to the rest of the team. When Eastern comes out they look at the set up again only this time we line everybody up to the right side, EWU calls another timeout as they had a power sweep left called. The eagles fans start to boo. The eagles come back from the timeout and line up for a field goal and it is only 3rd down, hte fans boo louder and the eagles call their last remaining TO, after this one they line up and punt, it is a great punt that austin hauls in on the one yard line. He breaks a tackle and starts diagnal across the field he makes to more guys miss and has real estate in front of him he gets 2 blockers leading him and he is off to the races. Touch down Bobcats!! The score is now 28-3. The eagles score on their next drive and the 3rd quarter ends 28-10. In the fourth quarter the eagles score again quickly to make it 28-17, and cardiac starts rumaging through his pockets looking for his nitro-glycerin pills. travis comes in on the next series and orchastrates a beautiful 16 play 9 minute drive with several passes and runs by grove. Travis scores on a naked bootleg to make it 35-17. Cardiac puts pills back in pocket. On the ensuing kick off the bobcats decide to practice their on side kick and recover the football. Travis and company run out the clock while humming in unison the Jeapordy song.

Final score

BOBCATS:35

EAGLES : 17

As the fans are leaving the stadium it is anounce the the GRIZ are down 21-0 at halftime and cardiac collapses right their in the asile while walking out, (and he always thought the bobcats would get him).
