Is anyone else having a hard time concentrating on anything but the game this week, I say the B-nation declares the rest of the week a holiday and we start tailgating now. Get to work on that B-nation. And as soon as you get that done start Thanksgiving to start a week early and we will hold court at bobcat football stadium starting next monday. Who's with me

Apparantly there are others having a tough time concentrating too.

We all are just a little too tense...let's relax and have some fun.

It is funny that you mention it...a friend of mine and I joke how most Fridays we have to avoid coffee in the morning as knowing that gameday is only one day away we both are wired like we had ten cups of coffee. The fact that this game is so HUGE and that I actually get to be there to watch it is enough to keep me wired all week. I am ok with declaring it a holiday, I am sure the boss won't mind!

At least we have BobcatNation to keep us going through the week right?

What the heck is up with Fuller?

I'm not sure I've ever heard of anything like that. So now we're working him out at receiver instead of finding a way to calm him down and play him where he belongs?

Pretty bad time of year to decide you're too "nervous" (for lack of a better term) to play a spot you've excelled at all season.

Anyone know more about this situation?

You don't "decide" to have anxiety. I think it is an extremely mature decision~ and one that had to be incredibly difficult ~ for Andre to say that he isn't feeling good emotionally/mentally about his level of play. For what it's worth, I think we're darn lucky to have him on the team and I pray, first for his well being, and second for the Bobcats, that he realizes that he IS a quality DB with tons of potential - one that belongs on the field.

We're pulling for you, Andre!

I have always thought they should hand out prozak after the games

1. to get the heart slowed up after the gernerally very exciteing finish

2. keep us slowed up during the week

Maybe the could start a new fundraiser where you get a prescription with your asa membership

LOL

I am not having trouble concentrating per se, but in class today I was called upon and didn't even hear the question. The professor asked why I didn't hear the question. I said that I was thinking about something else. That something else was Bobcat Football vs. Eastern Washington. She told me that I was "not wise".

It's no wonder Andre has anxiety...we're only fansd and we have it...I can just imagine the stress the players go through wek in and week out puilling out games inthe last quarter. To remove stress on everyone we need a couple of blowouts!

We need another NAU like last year!

Kramer talked about it today at the Coach's Corner meeting at the Holiday Inn. He said Andre is doing better; on some meds and talking with a counselor. Krames said he is practicing extremely hard and just wasn't feeling that he was getting the job done to a satisfactory level, so he pulled himself out of the game. At this point Krames said that Andre is letting them know when he feels up to being in the game and was able to play a few plays last weekend. Krames said next year that Andre will move over to safety which is where he is more aptly suited.
In the meantime, LeBlanc and Austin will be sharing duties at corner with Austin taking the nickel back position when the offense goes to a three or four WR set.

I give Andre full credit for stepping up and making a very difficult decision. I agree with Coach Kramer that this showed a clear sign of maturity and I believe courage to make that decision. I sincerely hope for the best for Andre, he is a very good football player, and wish him back as soon as he is ready.

I hope he is able to shake it, he has so much potential and I hope he realizes that!

Maybe we should send him a card or something. :)

On a more impersonal note, this concerns me because we are now pretty thin in the secondary. Does Leblanc have experience at corner?

Maybe we should send him a BobcatNation e-card.

Anyone good at flash or something? I think an e-card would be nice.

Good luck Andre. :) Anxiety is a real problem and I hope that he's feeling better soon. Maybe he is in a high-intensity major or maybe he's had a lot of tests/papers/assignments that needed to be done. As for people not concentrating this week, just wait until next week.

i think an e-card would be in order...and i did not take time to read the previous posts but...anxiety is a disorder that can literally, for lack of a better word paralyze you...i have suffered from it and know how destructive it can be...i don't know how afflicted andre is but it is pretty serious if he asked for help...he took the correct action to protect himself and the team...if he seeks proper care it is usually manageable with medication and counseling...my heart goes out to this kid...good luck to andre...

I know nothing about anxiety disorder, but I sincerely wish Andre the best.

Takes a helluva a guy to admit that he is possibly impacting his teammates (and himself). It's tough enough to be a student at MSU, but student/athletes are under additional pressure to excell in both environments. My hat is off to all of them.
