MSU Women's Basketball vs. MSU-Billings

Post by bozbobcat » Mon Nov 07, 2005 10:43 pm

These girls looked like a different team tonight in a 74-54 win over a decent MSU-Billings team. Alyssa Nelson and Scotta Morton had outstanding games and everyone else looked good. This team played more agressively and played much better defense. The level of improvement was unbelievable. Overall, a "B+" grade with an "A" for effort and improvement.

Wow! We gave up 90+ points against an NAIA team and only 54 against a D-2 team, therefore we should hold Oregon State in the 30's!

Nice job ladies-congrats to coach on her first (unofficial) win!

Kudos to the coaching staff for only their second outing with a team that is all new to them. The team was prepared and confident and even looked like there was a plan. I look for continued improvement and development of the talent that they have. I think basketball will be fun again and wins will take care of themselves. What more could fans ask?

I am happy to see Amanda DeHaan playing quality minutes after getting buried on the bench, Jenny Heringer is taking on a load playing at the 1-2-3 positions, and Shannon Bosley gave us a glimpse of good things to come. But everyone is producing and seem to have had help in finding their roles.

Congratulations to all the coaches and all the players.
