Kenyon Noble????
So there I was, all decked out with my "Grizzilies suck" hat and my "FTG and Eat s&*t Grizzlies" wristbands (thanks Corey!); cheering on NAU when what to my surprise but I see a Kenyon Noble add during a commerical break.

I thought the goal of TV advertisers was to get their product name out to people in their viewing area ... and it sounds like that happened. So it's not they like are supporting the Griz, they are just reaching people who happen to be watching the Griz on TV (even if they happen to be Bobcats). So if it is wrong for them to advertise in the Bozeman market on a Griz telecast, does that by extension mean it is wrong for Cat fans to be watching the Griz play on TV in Bozeman?bozbobcat wrote:It's understandable. KBZK should let the state advertisements stick and leave local businesses that do not support the Griz off of the broadcast.
If KN is seen as being supportive of the Griz for advertising (thus funding the telecast and allowing the game to be seen), then surely watching the game (thus giving it ratings, which drives the advertising, which allows the game to be seen) is just as disloyal to the Cats?

I didn't see the Kenyon Noble ad. But, I did see the Bozeman TV & Appliance commercial where they're tailgating up at Bobcat stadium in their 'Cat gear and saying go Cats the whole commercial. I doing some real chuckling thinking abou the Griz fans who may have not been too happy to see that ad if it was statewide. Probably does make sense that it was broadcast only locally.

BAC is on target here. Kenyon Noble is a Bobcat-owned business. At least two generations, I believe. If they want to expand their consumer base into western MT, so be it. That family has done a lot for the Bobcats and I see no problem here. Actually, one member of that family should probably be on the Montana-connected NFL list I saw on this board.Bay Area Cat wrote:I thought the goal of TV advertisers was to get their product name out to people in their viewing area ... and it sounds like that happened.
