Kudos to the defense!

The defense has been much maligned lately, but today, they were the difference. They snuffed Sac State throughout the day and took the heart out of the Hornets. I thought the offense did what they had to. The defense overcame a lot of mistakes by the special teams. It was great to see some sacks and pressure on the QB!

We really dominated this game. If we hadn't thrown that pick so deep in our own territory, I doubt they would have scored more than 10.

The Cats played defense like they did in 2003 in this game. Hats off to them. That one series with 2 stops by King and the sack by Marudas was great. The secondary looked very solid. Nice effort by the defense and we look like we can compete with Eastern Washington next week.

The EWU game is going to be very tough! BUT, we are in the best position we can be in as far as health and confidence. Win or lose we should be at our best.

I agree. I haven't seen the stats yet but the D did a wonderful job of making them work for anything they got.
The blocked kick that was recovered for a 1st down and the interception were bad luck. The score could have easily been 48 or more. Good Job Cats, and get your game face on for the EWU collision.

This one felt good. =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^

I know it was Sac St., but this was the best and most encouraging performance by the defense all season. For that matter, it was the most encouraging performance by the entire Bobcat team all season - minus special team gaffs. Who coaches special teams?

Very good all around effort by the D. They were attacking and swarming and finally hitting the other team in the mouth (totally dictating the game). It was a VERY VERY nice game by Epi King as well as he made a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage and tackled super! If we can get play like that from our 4 stud LB's now that we have the DL somewhat healthy. This defense could take off. They need that same attitude they had in the first few games where they held nothing back and just played in instinct/fun for the game. They have been playing too tight lately it seems (afraid not to make a mistake). This last week though we finally forced that back on the other team where they were afraid to make a mistake.

Way to go DDDDDDDDDD!

I love the Swarm we saw this past weekend and guys getting pumped up after making tons of plays behind the line of scrimmage. They feed off that and the offense starts to feel scared! :)

I have to think that they had a lot to work on for offence and defence that they skipped special teams practice this week (year). By this time of the year they should have special teams play down. Let's hope we can fix this for next week.

All I can say is that the Cat defense played well against a one-dimensional offense that was without both the starting quarterback and tailback.

Yeah, and that explosive Griz offense really took it to NAU in the dome
