I would love to go to the exhibition match, but I cannot make it tonight, so I had to vote for regular season.
Go Cats!

I would love to make more BB games this season as I have done with FB but it is a lot harder. The weather makes travel tougher, the weekday games are out, etc. but I will make as many as I can. Wyoming at Casper and NCU are for sures. I think they will be worth the price this season.

mslacat - Boz. Chronicle had an article today comparing the '96 team to this team. What are your thoughts. Personally, I dont think this team would come within 10 points of the 96 team.

Here's my "beef of the day".
IMO, if Bobcat Basketball is truly interested in packing the Brick with Bobcat fans, Mr. Fields needs to schedule back-to-back Friday & Saturday night games as many weekends as possible. Or schedule a # of Saturday nights when both the men & women play. I don't understand why we can't schedule our conference games on consecutive nights; I know our opponents have to travel to/from Missoula, but it's not even a 4 hour bus ride for crying out loud.
I simply cannot justify driving down to Bozeman from Kalispell in the dead of winter for ONE basketball game. I suspect a # of potential fans from other locales feel similarly.
However, if I knew I could see 2 (or more) games in 2 days/nights, I suspect I would make it down for at least 2 weekends during the season. That's better for MSU (and the Bozeman economy) than ZERO trips, isn't it?

Exactly Gato. I drive 1,100 miles roundtrip to each FB game and it is a nice weekend - not that much of a thing to do. No way can I do that for a Thursday BB game with kids in school. If it were a Friday/Saturday night and I could catch at least 2 games I am sure we would make the trek at least a few times. Right now I will be limited to the games close to home I can make and the internet.

The Friday-Saturday combo seemed to have mixed results, IMO. From Bozeman to Missoula is one of the two trips (ISU-WSU is the other) that actually worked. And the one year that the Big Sky tried Fri-Sat, the Cats finished 12-2 and took the regular season title. That would be a great reason to bring it back, but I think that the travel time becomes a problem. And I think that there should be some respect for the high school games that are commonly played on Friday nights. My best answer about this question is that Fri-Sat games could work here. BTW, I will most definitely be at tonight's game and hopefully every other home game. This is going to be one special year and I don't want to miss any of it if I can help it.

The Fri-Sat schedule didn't work because all the teams complained about the Sac St. NAU trip. Sounds like its hell even with a day to travel.

Go ahead and LEAVE NAU/SAC as a Thursday/Saturday; I understand that's a tough trip that is impossible to do in 2 days, BUT how does that impact the MSU/UM roadtrip?
I'm sorry, but IMO, it doesn't!
There's absolutely NO LOGICAL REASON that the MSU/UM trip can't be on back-to-back nights. As a matter of fact, if we did that with our games & WSU & ISU games, wouldn't it save every Sky school some money?

Yeah, the BSC wasn't thinking very clearly when they did that. What amazed me more is that the Cats were able to travel between Sacramento and Flagstaff in 23 hours, after a loss, and beat NAU in Flagstaff. Thursday-Saturday works best there and also between Eastern and Portland St. But you're right about the WSU-ISU and MSU-UM trips working well on a Friday-Saturday schedule. I don't think we'll see any changes, however.

Why not?
Is this another case of something being TOO logical for Fullerton & Co. to understand?

I'm going to most of the games next semester, though I would like to get to one or two this semester. I'm definately going to the one against Wyoming though, I drive right through Casper on Saturday on my way home to Douglas.
My only question is who do I cheer for. I'm a Cowboy by birth but a Bobcat by choice. I think I will through the game twitching and cheering, "Go BobBoys, Go CowCats!"

Football ending is when the conference starts. Gotta love those wacky bowl games, not to mention that Subpar Bowl of the NFL.
