Lack of replays on the big screen

I know this is splitting hairs. But, is the process of putting the replay on the big screen such a big deal that it's impossible to have it done more often?
I'm not asking for it on every single play (although that would be nice). But, there are plenty of big plays over the course of the game that would constitute a much higher number of replays then we currently get to enjoy. Personally, I hate looking up at that expensive screen and seeing advertisements for McDonald's or Murdoch's (no offense to either company because I know that advertising is a must source of income) instead of being able to review the play.

Am I alone in this?

They need to do a better job of replaying. I agree.

I am with ya....I stated this last year.

It seemed that earlier in the season we had many a replays, but the last game I did not see as many.

I think we need to aim a little lower-one must walk before one can run...

Let's start by having the P.A. announcer actually know who we are playing-it was Northern Arizona University not Arizona State University!

Then lets move on to the music. Whoever decided to play Kansas' Carry on Wayward Son for in game music should be flogged. Hey I like Kansas as much as the next guy-but not at a freakin' football game. What's next? Enya's Orinco Flow on third down? Maybe a little Sinead O'Connor after a touchdown?

After we get these more basic detail ironed out maybe we can move on the more technical matters like video replays.

Yeah-- I would like some Enya during 3rd down. Maybe the opposing team gets entranced...walks off the field and fails on 3rd and long.

Why do you know ANY Enya songs?

I'll agree with everyone thought that we definately need to work on some of the technical aspects of the game such as replays. I'm not sure how difficult it is to replay on the big screen, but I'm sure somebody could figure it out. It would be great to do especially after big hits or possibly "controversial" calls to get fans reacting and into the game some more. As far as music goes, it was discussed a while ago in another post and the couple of games I've been to this season I've been better compared to last year, but still lots to improve and we can start by axing Kansas from game day tunes. Unless of course it's Dust in the Wind...You're my boy Blue!

:bs: just kidding! Does any one know the actual process for getting the replays going? This could explain why we don't get more replays

Did anyone else notice that about 90% of the songs played at the last game were pre-1980? It was golden oldies day in Bozeman. The only song the whole day that got a good response from the crowd was The Village People's "YMCA."

I also have been disappointed in the number of replays the big screen has had this season. I think that ever play should have a replay, even if it is an offsides.

Does the announcement of the time, the place the, combatants and the down on every third down annoy anyone the way it does me? I realize he wants us to get loud, but just a simple.."It's third down lets get with it" would suffice!

As I understand it, they can only show what the broadcast feed shows. They can't show different camera angles or replays unless that is what the broadcasters are showing on TV.

It's like watching TV at home - you can change channels (ads, graphics or broadcast feed), but you can't choose which camera to use or record and playback for replays. That type of thing apparently requires the kind of equipment that the broadcasters have in the semi parked by the stadium with a control booth and numerous people staffing.

I agree, however, that they should show every replay the broadcasters show.

The songs that were played were definitely not ones that get people pumped. I thought that the idea was to play songs that get people in the mood to cheer, not to break out their lighters.

The PA guy is also still lacking quite a bit. He seems to be the last person in the stadium to know who made the tackle, and did anyone else notice when he missed the fumble by Papich on the 5 and he yelled "First down......" leading up to a Lumberjacks first down? I don't think this is going to get any better this year.

They just play the live feed from the TV. If there is no TV, then no replay. If the TV doesn't show the replay then the board won't have one either.

Gawd, I loved it!

But they were also playing a lot of crap, i mean rap music before the game, that must be to keep people out of the stadium until game-time.

I don't know about the cats but in Msla during warm ups they play what the Kids want to listen to...so a lot of rap gets played. I'm all for the players picking the music for warm ups.

How about we stop playing music period when the Cats have the ball on offense! Damnit, Lulay is trying to run a no-huddle and call the plays and we've got Van Halen "Right Now" starting up. Rediculous!

The game day atmosphere is getting better, dont get me wrong, but it is still amatuer hour. It is improving though, I guess it only can?
