Are we too tense?

Everybody know what happened at USC? If not check out this story:
http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/newssentin ... 048111.htm
Sometimes a team gets so serious from trying to perform due to high expectations placed on them by themselves, coaches, fans that they begin to lack the ability to execute on the field. Sometimes changing the team atmosphere does wonders.

It seems like the Cats are tense out there. A good solid win and maybe a good practical joke will fix what ails them.

I felt the same way last year, then NAU happened and I thought this team was playing exactly how we all thought they could. If we can play like we did at NAU (not saying as good, but just as loose and carefree) then we should be able to win out. I agree, we are a little too tense.

I think that we should beat SAC, and UM. No slight against UM, they are playing very well right now, but it seems like the Cat/Griz game (over the past 3 or 4 years) has been won by the team with the best senior leadership, and in the best health. I'll put our seniors up against any senior class in the country, and it looks like we're finally regaining some health.
As for the EWU game....this one should be a track meet won by the team who has the ball last.
All in all, I think we're in pretty good shape for the home stretch.

So what is causing the "tension". I know the obvious reply will be level of play and getting it all to jell. Curious if there are other factors?

I think the players and coaches have put a lot of pressure on themselves this season. Not to mention the great Bobcat fans who are finding their voice again. I think this is all a part of the growing pains of a soon-to-be top level program. Keep working hard, and good things will happen.

I'm of the conviction that Lulay has played that way all year. He seems to force it more than normally. He's obviously good enough to win even when he does, but, I think he REALLY WANTS TO WIN OUT THIS YEAR. AND BY GOD HE WILL...!!!
I don't know how he can strike the balance between focused and free--but he needs to play with an abandon and enjoy these next 3 games. I think that will translate to the others.
On a side note-- I watched Justin D. come out of the 2nd half locker room chat with a smile and a laugh and he hadn't played a down or two, but when inserted in the 2nd half, made a great contribution for the win. Interesting thought guys. I like the post!

The Cats will be pummeled by EWU. Sorry guys. You will have no answer for Meyer, or their great tailback.
You will beat Bobby Hauck again this year, much to my dismay. Hauck can not coach in Bozeman, as he proved two years ago where he was totally out-coached by Kramer.
He gets all hyped up and acts like a high school kid on meth. Instead of relaxing and coaching, he does stupid sh*t and tries to over-coach the team. Gimmicks come out of the closet, and normal execution is sacrificed in favor of making a sensational double-reverse option pass for a 99 yard TD, so that Bobby can say "take THAT, you feline bastards"!
Kramer beats Hauck pyschologically, and plays him like a cheap banjo on game week. It's sickening to watch as a Griz fan.

Wolfman, I have been wondering where you have been hiding, since the mighty Griz have been marching down the field and winning. All I can say about your post is WOW! Good to have you back.

It's interesting the way you have described Hauck on Cat/Griz week is kind of how I am feeling the Bobcats are playing every opponent right now. They get so worked up and tight that they can't execute.
Anybody got a cleat wrench? Anybody willing to streak through the practice field a couple of times this week?

At least we all know that MSU will handle EWU and lose to the Griz becouse in the 3 years AZ has posted he's been correct about 10% of the time.

All I can say is thank goodness we beat Weber.
It could be very interesting in three weeks IF we win against SAC and EWU. A win this week should move us close to a top 10 ranking. A win against EWU will move us even higher in the rankings. Then a win against the Griz may even give us the nod for a higher ranking than the Griz at the end of the season with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I'm going to go throw up now.

Jac-off-ur, you pin head. I could predict games better than you while high on "X". I have been correct in predicting every Cat game correctly. Of course, the 10% number is confusing for a phallically-challenged individual like yourself....

Hey Looney Tunes, you've missed so many you can't even keep track.
Wolfman wrote:Sorry boys, I just don't think the Cats have enough to beat the most under-rated IAA program in the nation. NDSU is too good on both sides of the ball. If they played the Griz this year, we would lose to them.
My predictions for this game:
NDSU 30
MSU 17

Jac-off-ur, did your mother have any children who lived? Crawl back into the dung pile from which ye emerged, slime mold.
Sausage crock (you wish! more like minnows' dick), yeah I missed ONE! Now, go back to your microscope and try to find your unit. It really DOES EXIST! Trouble is, if it gets any smaller, it will be a scab on your *ss.

Is it just me or does it seem like every Griz fan thinks we are playing EWU this weekend?
I guess Griz fans never feel like doing a little research on football facts. bearBAC (bear axe) was telling everyone on egriz that the Cats hadn't won a road game all season (for you Griz fans reading this, we beat Weber at home). Griz fans are just lazy about research, or maybe they are to dumb to do it…
