Defense working on tackling

Post by bozbobcat » Thu Oct 27, 2005 9:39 am

I heard last night on the Bobcat coaches' radio show that Mike Kramer was talking about doing mid-season tackling drills for the first time in his tenure. Apparently they tackled so hard that Toby Rundle got a concussion and had to miss the young players' scrimmage last Saturday. I hope that Toby is OK and also that these tackling drills help on Saturday.

If our guys can wrap up and make the tackle at the point of attack. This defense could end up being pretty good in the long run. Like was mentioned last week on here. MSU needs to get back to it's solid tackling/attack form as we want to see SWARMS of blue jersey's in on the tackle. You would think with only 3 DL this year we already would be seeing a lot more of that as there are 4 fast LB's out there. SWARM. Then if someone misses the tackle, everyone else is there to clean up.
