who cares man, we are all a part of the bobcat nation. Thanks man, you rock and you have great taste.

Just got back from the PSU game and here are some thoughts. Knowing the usual posters on this board I am sure everyone will tell me how crazy I am but hey, I call it the way I see it.

The bobcat defense is like going against a stiff breeze. The front seven were shoved around pretty bad.

The kick off coverage as well as the kick return can use some work.

I like the punt strategy with Lulay basically kicking head high line drives trying to ricochet it off opposing players. It is also tough to return.

The offense and defensive lines are not physical. PSU pushed them around on both sides of the ball. That surprised me with the veteran offensive line that the cats have.

Travis Lulay is even more amazing than I thought. It is kind of pathetic when your QB seems to be the most physical player on your team.

The freshman RB Evin Groves shows some great promise.

Justin Domineck is either hurt or he is a real dud.

I hate to be the one too piss all over the rice crispies but unless the cats can play better defense than they did tonight. It doesn't look good for winning the conference. They did play very hard and I can't fault the team on effort, but I was disappointed in the way the big fellas up front played tonight. Also, the time should have expired whomever was running the clock made sure to stop it on 1 second so they would get that field goal chance.

Thanks for the deep thoughts man. I do not agree with you on some of them though. I must say that Mr. Lulay is a great player, all around, and maybe one the best in Bobcat history. He sucks as a punter though. It is disrespectful as a former punter to watch him do what he does. You need hang time to give your guys time to get down there, or we will get burned. He is also going to keep getting them blocked as we saw last night,which was maybe the changing point in the game. GET A PUNTER KRAMER. Another thing is that our defense is horrible. What happend to the defense of two and three years ago. I remember when our defense used to get fired up, pissed off, and wanted to put a freaking hurt on other teams. We got pushed around and walked all over last night. But hey, all is well in the Bobcat Nation. We come home to three home games and one really hard road game. The Griz showed us all yesterday that they suck. Cal-Poly, PSU, Sac, and NAU, let us just hope that we see the Griz come to Bozeman with a 4-6 record. I would even be happy with a 6-4 record. So long Hauck, good luck somewhere else.

The griz lost to an amazing offense that I think is going to destroy the rest of the Big Sky on way to the conference title. Easterns opening round loss was a fluke, that Eric Meyer even stated "we were not mentally prepared for our opening game". Eastern now is sharp, and Eric Kimble is the most amazing wide reciever in the Big Sky. Portland State is also a very formidable opponent but the cats with that loss now have a very difficult road to the BSC title, that is through EWU.

PG, While Lulay's punting style is hardly pretty, averaging over 40 yards a punt is very good. The way he kicks may not give the coverage time to get down there but it does cause things like bouncing off the other teams back for a turnover! I would pose these questions: How mant punts has Lulay had blocked before that one? How many returns has he given up for a TD on his punts?

Agree with everthing you said except that the Cats OL got pushed around. I think this could have been the best game our OL played this year (especially since he didnt' have to run much). The OL gave Lulay plenty of time (passed for 50+ times .. how many sacks did we give up? 1 maybe 2? .. that is really good pass blocking). Plus we had some definate holes in the running game as well. Very good game played by our offensive line.

I also disagree with your statements PG, as his punts work for us. That blocked punt is the only one we have had in a long time. Plus he gives us the throwing threat back there. Any time we can get the ball in his (Lulays) hands is an advantage for our team.

This is the first blocked punt I can remember in a long time, if ever. Also, I believe no one has ever returned one of his punts for a TD. And we are something like 8 for 9 on fakes.

I completely disagree we need a traditional punter. I would like to have one when we are deep in our own territory, though (like inside our own 10).

I think Lulay has done a very nice job punting. I know that I have concerns about him rolling out and punting (both for the chance of having it blocked & taking unnecessary hits), but overall he has done well. In the ISU game he had two punts inside the five... That is awfully good.

Something must have broke down there, as the guy who blocked it was uncontested. There was also another right by him. Maybe they saw on film he always goes right and overloaded that side somehow.
